ravish, but more ironicish: I just noticed how much Adah's posts have been sounding like St.A's! Ironic since she asked specifically about St.A before. Heh...

*Raises eyebrows* Do I? That's a bit odd. Well, glad to be echoing a good member, I suppose. Wouldn't want to sound like one of those ones everyone's always harping about, I suppose. *shrugs*

Well Helen, 28 weeks is only 6 and a half months... I haven't heard of any airline that will deny a woman at that point. The only RISK is very early on- or at 8+ months (but thats more of being in mid air and going into labor.)

A lot of doctors will recommend that pregnant women don't fly at all for the last trimester of the pregnancy so maybe that's why?

Rant: One of my wisdom teeth is bothering me again and it's making my whole throat sore.

Rave: Possibly getting my tattoo tomorrow.

Rave: Won a corporate recognition award for work which results in $100 cash!

Rant/Rave (not sure which yet): It's tax season. Blech.

Oh and rave: This video: http://www.comca st.net/providers/fan/popup.html?v=633117187&config=/config/common/fan/news.xml&pl=apfannews.xml&launchpoint=Link&cid=fanlink&attr=news_sidebar. It's the cutest thing I've ever seen!

It really depends on the woman. The idea is that the change in air pressure could cause problems. Also if you get air sick- flying early in your pregnancy could just aggravate and cause you to be uncomfortable.

I know Delta will not restrict any woman at any part of her pregnancy. I have heard of a couple of airlines not wanting women who are 9 months along to fly at all- which is completely understand able.

For me personally- I wouldn't fly after about 7 or 8 months. I wouldn't be going on a vacation to a foriegn country either. At that point I don't even really want to be traveling out of town for work any longer! I'm also overly cautious in regards to that stuff- and overly paranoid I'm sure.

As of right now I'm almost 25 weeks. If I needed/wanted to fly anywhere I don't see why I shouldn't. I'm having an uneventful pregnancy over all and am not high risk in any way.

I do have to correct myself. I really shouldn't post while having a phone converstation with a boy (*giddy laugh*) 28 weeks=7 months, approximately. It's probably a good thing to note that since gestation is 40 weeks, a 9 month pregnancy is really a misnomer. 40 weeks=10months!

And that is my pregnancy induced information packet for today. Thank you and have a good weekend!

(Rave: over the past 2 days I've been on the phone with the same guy for 9 hours. Tonight I get to hang out with him. I'm excited!)

rant: well the pregnant lady wanted a sun package, so that means flying with a charter. and the best charter to fly her while she is pregnant was sunwing. but thier policy is they will not allow anyone past 36 weeks, to fly. they aso required a doctors note to say that the pregnancy was normal and no complcations and that the moher was heathly. well guess what? she hasnt been seeing a doctor during her pregnancy, she has been using midwives. her own doctor didnt even know that she was pregnant. the vendor wont accept a note from a midwife. she went off on me for that one (like i could do anything about it).

the other problem was the travel insurance company wouldnt cover her after 31 weeks and wouldnt over the unborn child at all. so while trying to find a last minute deal using one vendor, she also asked me to find a different insurance company to use. now the following statement does not just apply to the pregnant clients, but all clients...i am not an insurance broker. we work with one insurance company and one insuance compnay only. no can do. sorry.

anyway, as you can imagine, she cancelled.
for the record, i was 150% more diplomatic and polite with her than i was in my little rant here.

rave: i booked a DJ from the local radio station and 3 of his buddies to Cancun in March. on Thursay night, HE PLUGGED MY NAME AND THE AGENCY'S NAME ON THE RADIO!! for real. free advertising from the most popular radio station in the city. sweet deal. made my day.

rant: working on a file for a guy and his wife to go away somewhere romantic. he decided to book he Dom.Rep. package i sent him. an hour after i send him the forms to sign over email, he calls back and says he doesnt want to go to DR anymore, and he has already booked with someone else. so for 2 days i work on getting something really special for this guy and in one hour he books somewhere else. you know, im not really too upset about it. half of my job is rejection and you deal with it and move on to the next file. just sucks cuz i could have been working on another client with that time.

rave: seriously, i love my job.

*hugs Helen* See all that makes perfect sense (aside from not accepting a midwive's note but again thats out of your control!) Whether or not I agree with their policies doesn't matter because they have the right to have them!

RANT: Someone stole my iPod yesterday. I hate that people at my school have enough money to buy whatever they want, but they steal shit anyway. I feel really incomplete now. And if i get a new iPod i have to redownload everything because my computer crashed a while ago and now this one has no music on it. I'm probably not going to get another one anyway, I'm pretty much broke. I don't know if I should tell my parents or not... there's a good chance that they might blame me. Agh.. this sucks.

You cried within 50 pages?! DO NOT READ THE END!!!
Not wanting to put you off or anything, but I think I would give that book the award for most dissappointing ending ever. And I apologise for not knowing how many sssss and pppps the word dissappointing contains.

JamesMcF, I used to post when drunk. Now I run my laptop battery down and unplug it before I go out, and I can't figure out how to plug it in when I get home
Doesn't work if you don't have a laptop though.

Rant: Scams! Grrrr...I just spent at minimum a half an hour on the phone with Verizon trying to explain that "No, I didn't respond to that text, no I have no idea what it is for!"
Man am I royally ticked. I registered at photobucket and am now recieving random text for which Verizon is charging me 9.99 a month!
*sigh* At least I finally got them to remove the charge. All I can say is Beware of random texts! If you don't know who it is, don't respond. And even then, check your bill and make sure you don't have charges for something you didn't make.
I hope that made sense..the brain is fried.

I had to deal with the same thing from Sprint. Not exactly. Had nothing to do with photobucket but I ended getting about $60 bucks back. (I thought I knew what the charges were for and I changed my habits- then I was still being charged so obviously NOT what I thought it had been.) After speaking to 3 people, 1 manager, being hung up on once and being told to find their corporate number myself... I decided to call it a night. The next morning (after I calmed down) I found information that told me to call sprint and go as if I was canceling my account. (Which I was very tempted to do after 5 years!) I forget the name of the department, but their job is to do almost anything to have you keep your account. I explained the situation and she apologized and said that it would be taken care of... she had to transfer me to someone else to actually stop the charges and when she did that the guy tried to tell me that he wasn't capable of doing it. I hadn't known it but she had stayed on the line and she piped in and told him, "No, you CAN and WILL do this." Heh, that was my favorite part.

I'm thinking of writing my dissertation on set design, so I rung the theatres and asked and they said yes! I plan to go to a lot more, but they are the most exciting because they are my favourites! Well, favourites in the West End anyway.

You're not allowed to take pictures for copyright reasons, so I just drew diagrams and wrote stuff down. I'm still remembering things to add!

Rave: new glasses. They are pretty and I can see properly again! I actually took my lenses out to wear them because I was excited, and I never normally wear glasses. Although the ground seems to be a long way away, it's very bizarre.

Rant: (the usual one) haven't done my work.

Rave: I have lots and lots of lovely Lush things and my bedroom smells very nice!

Rant/rave: we signed on a house for next year... my 2 friends were very happy with it but I wasn't convinced, and when I tried to tell them they pretty much ignored me. The house is kind of growing on me as I think about it, but I do think we could have done better and wish they'd listened to me. I'll have to spend a fortune on bus fares. But, instead of having one big bedroom I have a medium sized bedroom with wardrobe and drawers and then a separate office with a desk and armchair, which is perfect. So I guess I'm ok with it.
