It's not impossible that Grimmerie Hunter can come through here and read those posts. Imagine how badly you'd feel if you were someone's rant.

Please refrain from talking about any of the other members negatively here or anywhere else on the forums. If you have something to say give them the courtesy of saying it to their faces.

Thanks.

I'm pretty sure I tried that, more than once.

If I was incapable of taking in information that people were repeatedly telling me, I'm not sure I'd be capable of processing the fact that I was someone's rant.

Still, I take the point and my post has been edited.

Rave: my little girl is growing up..
Rant: wayyyyyyyyyyy too quick. She's pulling herself up onto anything that doesn't move (and sometimes, things that do...)

Rant: cell phone bills. my bank account says ouchie.

Possible rave: might be getting a bonus at work... which could be over 1000. No guarantees and I have no clue how much it will actually be but... damnnnnnnnnnnnn. That would make for a nice Christmas. (helllooooooooooooo new computer!)

Rave: pretty much all my Christmas shopping for Alannah is done. One or two more specific toys, and maybe some clothes and a teddy bear.

Rave: Getting her Christmas pictures taken tomorrow. Got a great deal on the package. Her dress cost more.

Are you going to the portait studio in either Sears or WalMart? Picture Me?

Because that's where I work... I know all the deals.

I'm sorry too Minxy! I've lost an increasing number of loved ones in recent years, & it never gets easy. As we continue to live, more people (human & otherwise) we are close to will continue to pass.

Cherish your memories of good times, & your uncle will always be with you!

Peace

Not sure: less than 6 hours before we leave for the airport. Which is almost 3 hours away. And I just realized that I'm not assigned seats yet for my flights today... and I have an almost 2 hour layover in Chicago.

And my suitcase is too small.

I've got a good job but my bills always seem to be more than my paycheck brings in. So, I can't figure out what I'm going to do for Christmas for everyone this year.

I'm thinking aout asking for money for my birthday from everyone so I can hopefully turn around and spend it on christmas gifts. That just seems so childish and lame though....

I'm in the same boat. I was stupid enough to want to pay down some of my credit card debt so I took $1000 and put it towards that bill. I have TWO jobs and get paid a great amount of money. But deciding to pay down that bill this time of year wasn't smart. Plus my stupid rent is just ridiculously high and that's really pissing me off today too.

Well you'll be glad you put the money towards it in the long run but this time of year it's really tough to spend any money at all that you don't have to. With gifts and all, things are always tight.

But... this year is the worst for me it's been in a long time. At least I do have my birthday to make some money off of. I'm not sure what I'd do if I could ask for the extra few bucks from my guardians that I plan to this year.

Rant: I'm no longer going to Uganda. There were 12 places and 13 people, so they drew names out of a hat. Never in my life has my name been drawn out, and true to form I was the one left in.

I'm so, so gutted. I've been at uni all day holding everything in and I've just got home and I can't stop crying. It doesn't help that I'm already so stressed and worried that I'm making myself ill and I haven't slept properly in weeks.

I wouldn't mind if everyone wanted to as badly as I do, but I was talking to some girls the other day and I asked why they wanted to go and they said "oh well it's something to do over summer, we'll get amazing tans and we can go travelling after".

I've wanted to do this for 6 years but refused to pay the fees to the companies who organise it. This trip is privately arranged so there are no fees.

Anyway. I'm not going, unless someone backs out, and now I have mascara running down my face.

Rant: My week is getting worse by the day.

After working on my project for 14 hours I was chatting to a friend on Facebook and she told me that an old friend from work passed away last night whilst having an operation to remove a brain tumour (her second in her short years on Earth). I had no idea anything was wrong until I heard the news today; I worked with her for years and she was the most happy, smily person you could hope to meet.

Rant(s): First flight from Kansas City to O'Hare was delayed due to low clouds and so I would have missed my connection flight to Philadelphia. I could either A) leave and come back tomorrow- no chance in hell I live almost 3 hours from KC, or B) go to Chicago and spend the night in the airport... with a baby. I choose B. Then the lady at the desk finds a flight into Washington-Dulles that would get me to Philly about 40 minutes later than my original flight! Awesome!

Except that plane got brokey. Ok... at least this is a mechanical issue and they pay for my hotel room. They rebook my flight for first thing in the morning and I go and try to sleep. Next morning I go to the American Airlines desk to check in and guess what! United never actually booked my damn flight! How nice of them! I could still get a seat on my first flight to O'Hare but wouldn't have a connection until later that day. Uh, no. I'm kinda on a time frame here and am already cutting it close with the arrival time I had, gr. This time they were able to get me onto the flight to Dallas which was board as I got my boarding passes. I go through security, and apparently the computer selected me as a person to be further searched.

TSA lady- "Hold out both your arms."
Me- "Uhhh... holding a baby here."

I finally get through all that wonderful stuff and make my way to Philly at 2pm EST. Waiting for my luggage. And waiting. And waiting. Greeeeaaat. I go to the baggage claim desk thingy and they tell me that my bag is coming on the next flight from Dallas, and is there anything I need out of there? Well, yeah... unless you're going to buy me some more diapers since I was thinking of not spending the money on that stuff since I had plenty to bring. Oh and don't mention the clothes I need for the viewing and funeral. Nope don't need those at all.

They tell me that the flight will be getting in at 8:30 and they will deliver my bag to me since I live nearly two hours from the airport. At 10:30 I call the number they told me to call if my bag doesn't arrive, and this time the lady acts like I'm the idiot. Please don't give me a damn attitude because one of your employees told me that this flight would be arriving at 8:30 and it really wouldn't be in until almost midnight. Also some compassion would be nice as well, considering you are saying you'll have some one call me at 2 fucking AM.

I wake up the next morning having not received my bag and call again- at least this time they say the delivery company had picked it up. Finally at noon I have my bag, after having had to pay close to $100 to get the necessities for the baby and I.
