rave: figured out how to work the special settings on my camera and took a picture of daffodil that made her look green.
rant: I couldn't make it look the same for my picture.
rant: I can't do color settings while taking a movie.

rave: had a strange dream last night, which was fun.

Well, that's good, that you'll be getting that over with, right?

Rave: I don't "believe in" astrology on the whole, but I love Rob Brezsny's horoscopes because they're always vague and sagely enough to be pertinent, but today I checked my new horoscope for this week and was like "WOAH"--it was creepily spot-on with regard to the particular issues that are on the forefront of my psyche at this specific juncture.

Yero posted that in the musical forum.
I'm not happy. It's such a waste, a film of the book could be amazing. If I had any idea how to write a screenplay, I would do it and send it to GM to try and make him change his mind!

Rave: I got a job! Only in a call centre, but it's the first time I've ever been to an interview where there are less positions available than people applying, so I'm quite proud.

Rave: I found an excuse to email the guy I've been completely besotted with for the last 2 years.

I was just going to edit this and put - Rant: now I keep checking my emails to see if he's replied, and he actually has replied already!

I was promoted at my new job after only completing my training 2 weeks ago. I now have a supervisor position and a raise. I'm fairly proud myself.

That pisses me off no end--but don't worry! By the time I'm a filmmaker (and that is, and has been, my actual career goal) I'll make it my undying quest to make a film based on the book. It'll be dark and gritty, but pretty, and steam-punk, but not too campy--it'll be awesome. Don't worry about it. XD

(I do know how to write a screenplay, and maybe in my spare time I work on adapting Wicked, along with my own original works...)

I can write scripts, a screenplay wouldn't be too different. I probably don't have the commitment (just now) or time to do it. Maybe if it becomes a career though

We should all do. Make a thread, put in our ideas, come up with something awesome and prove that the fans don't want a movie musical.

It'll be interesting to see how the musical forum will be ecstatic over the news while the rest of us are just... not.

Miss Hibbs, I'll be counting on you to deliver!

Oh and by the way, congrats Twyz! We're both celebrating promotions!

Yeah, the format is different, but I would say the overall creative process is similar, or at least very comparable.

Rave: I auditioned for a musical theatre camp, and I got a solo as the part of Hodel in "Matchmaker" from Fiddler on the Roof. I'm excited-it'll give me a good opportunity to practice my chest voice singing.

Rave: I had some friends over for my birthday and we had a Star Wars movie marathon. It was pretty awesome.

Rant: a scheduled 15 hour day tomorrow at work
Rant: scheduled to work the next 10 days in a row
Meh: surgery on Friday
Meh: off work for a week after, then light duty for two weeks after that.
Rant: drinking water makes me nauseous. Thus proving that surgery is even more necessary. Bah

Rave: A bit over a week until Alannah is 3 months old. She babbles all the time, can hold her head up completely by herself, can sit up with very little support, can stand with support (just holding onto her hands is enough most of the time), smiles a million times a day, and as of yesterday can roll over from her belly to her back!

MAJOR MAJOR RAVE: Last night, I met Idina Menzel!

Granted, it was only for about half a minute or so, after the concert she gave in Richmond. I waited around outside her tour bus with a bunch of other people who kept telling me "it usually only takes fifteen minutes for her to come out"...well, it took an hour. Not that I minded, of course, it was enough seeing her. I had bought a shirt from a stand inside the venue, so she signed that on the back in silver sharpie (I may have to take a picture of myself wearing it and post it on here XD) and we exchanged several lines of conversation. It was amazing to actually see her in person!

Her concert was astounding. Before it started I went up to the front row because there was a songsheet taped to the rug that her microphone was standing on, and pretended to be talking to someone so I could sneak peeks at the songsheet. So I knew most of what she was singing beforehand, which was nice. She sang most of the songs from her new album, as well as Mimi's bit from "Another Day" and solo versions of "For Good" and "Defying Gravity". She also sang this fantastic song in Hebrew about the prophetess Devorah that she dedicated to her sister. She was also really, really funny. Between most songs she would talk to random people in the crowd-someone asked her to moo once, and she started singing bits from "Over the Moon" but she wouldn't moo, unfortunately.

Rave: Did I mention I met Idina Menzel...?

Um... it's a hard choice at this point. Charlie pisses me off because he has a terrible attitude, but he does some really great styles. I think my favorite would be Paulo(sp?) because he seems the coolest as a person, and his wig this week was gorgeous!

I can't stand Nekisa! She's a crappy person and has yet to do a single good haircut.

Rave: Will and Grace! Oh my gosh I missed this show.

Rant: Comfort went home on So You think You Can Dance. I'm sad.

I totally agree. I think Nekisa's wig was a peice of shit and she should just go away already. I dont think Gail should have gone home this week at all, because her previous hair cuts were at the least decent. In any case, they were better than Nekisa's.

I like Paulo too, and his wig was spectacular. If I were bald, or fair skinned even, I would totally wear that wig.

Aerecura: awesome about Idina! I would love to be able to say something sensible when I talk to her, just once. Same with her husband.
