I hope this doesn't come off as sounding bitchy, but I recommend, if you want to work with someone in the future, or claim to know their entire autobiography, you might want to know how to spell their name...

PaN, i agree with you and don't think you sound bitchy. i feel like smacking my head on a desk when i see people that are supposedly so obsessed with elphaba or gregory maguire or stephen schwartz but can't even spell their names right.

Hey Leslie-Burke! Nice to meet you. I do like your sig.

I agree with you, valenticed and PaN, you're completely right. I hate it too. I always have to yell at people when I see name misspellings in fanfiction.

And- I don't mean to sound bitchy either- but in elphaba-elphie-fae-fabala's defense, s and z are right next to each other, it's easy to mix them up. 'Specially if you're introducing yourself somewhere fun like this, and you're excited about it.

Welcome, Leslie-Burke. Nice to have you. I like your siggy, too, though I think it would look nicer if the earphones were nearer to her face. I don't think she can hear the music through her hair.

FabalaFae when you posted that you liked wizardman alot more than me already that really hurt my feelings. I'm all for people being able to express their feeling but when you say things like that it just makes me sad. I don't mean to wallow in self pity I just want you to know how I feel. Its totally alright to dislike me and I'm not one of those people who needs everybody to like them but I just thought I'd tell you that what you said really upst me. Thanks for listening.

Still, you did bug me quite a lot. And everything you were doing was very suspicious to me, so I do apologize for that.

Although, most new members cruise around, figure out how we work and post on the newest topics, because you went back far enough to find Munchkinman's posts and comment on them, our suspicions went through the roof.

Always always always remember: posts have dates. Get to know this fact well.

Absolutely! Then maybe after our excursion in the Fire Swamp we can take a trip to the Cliffs of Insanity for a little hike?

Sounds good. We'll have to remember not to forget a rope, though. Or a tree branch. Or something useful to do.

The Princess Bride is awesome, to add to the raving over it. Of course, when I first watched it, I was scared as hell by

**SPOILER**, BUT I DIDN'T HAVE TO SAY THAT. NOT LIKE ONE OF YOU HASN'T WATCHED IT YET.

the ROUS's and the old woman in Buttercup's dream, but as I got older I got to watch it and enjoy it.

EDIT: A hurr, would you look at that. Three hundred thirty third post here.

wow, i love that movie. the old woman in her dream gave me the creeps!! my brother and i prance around fluting "westley, my westley," or "humperdinck, oh humperdinck" and sometimes my war cry is "my name is inigo montoya. you killed my father. prepare to die!"

INCONCEIVABLE.

Did you notice that the old woman is Buttercup? They have the same eyes.

I have a shirt that has a "Hello, my name is" nametag printed on it that says Inigo Montoya, and there'a a picture of him and "You killed my father. Prepare to die." on the bottom. But it's almost too small!

Make it into a pillow.

Turn it inside out and either cut the sleeves off or don't and sew the holes shut. Sew the bottom of the shirt closed. Turn it right side out again, stuff it with something and sew the neck shut.

Actually, we would much rather you continue rambling on than start a new thread. It keeps the boards more organized. If you look back a few pages on some of the threads, we get entirely off topic many times. I.E. if you look to the previous page of this thread we started talking about the movie 'The Princess Bride.'

Hi-

My name is Neil, and I just finished both Wicked and Son of a Witch. Wicked was recommended to me Lo! these many years ago, but I just now got around to reading it.

I thought Wicked was absolutely brilliant.

I was all set up to be disappointed by Son of a Witch for the simple reason that I felt Wicked really didn't need a continuation and was worried it might be weakened by one.

This doubt continued to plague me throughout my reading of Son of a Witch. Don't get me wrong, Son... is excellently crafted, but Wicked still just seemed to me to be self-complete.

However, after reading the ending of Son of a Witch, I can only say three things: more, more, more!

-Neil

Hello everyone... my name is Matthew. I read Wicked a couple of years ago, and have read it in sections quite a few times since then. Recently I reread it cover to cover just to take notes in my book. I consider the book invaluable once it is filled with my thoughts, makes it much more personal than a 10 dollar paperback.

I like showtunes and indie music typically, though I've been known to make exceptions. My current musical infatuation is Kate Nash.

I play the oboe among other things and intend to be an oboe major next year. However, the sight of musical instruments makes me rather sick at the moment.

It's nice to meet you all. I look forward to posting!

Hey Neil, hey Cindy. Hey Matt. Nice to meet you all.

Cindy, by any chance, have you ever read Garth Nix's Old Kingdom trilogy? Sabriel and Lirael and Abhorsen? Your username sounds a bit like something out of there.
