I am actually named Melena and I feel very close to the character Elphaba. The REALLY wierd thing is that I am the oldest of 3 children [[i am 17]], The middle child is my sister [[her name is ROSE]], and the youngest is my other sister whose name is SHELLY, But my mother did die while giving birth to Shelly. Nessa was born without 1 of her arms. and I got my finger chopped off when I was 8. So I feel that I am truly wicked. I just got my account 1 hour ago, and I am close and personal friends with former sadie.rue, and she has informed me to tell you all that she will not be using gregorymaguire.com anymore due to the fact she had a rough start.

Well my name is Jess and I am a Wicked fan of both the musical and book. I am also 12. I love the character Elphaba and I really want to play her when I grow up if Wicked is still on Broadway. I LOVE Idina Menzel and she is my idol and role model. I am very grateful to have met her (even if it was just 1 minute). My favorite Elphie is Idina and my favorite Glinda is Kristin. I would love to go up in the flying machine and sing Defying Gravity because that is my favorite song. I just saw Wicked last month for the first time. I also like Rent and Legally Blonde. My friends say I am overly ubsessed with Wicked and talk about it too much.

Fae, I'm saying this not as a moderator but as a member. If sadie.rue does not wish to be apart of this forum any longer then I am somewhat sorry to hear that. I would rather not hear messages relayed from her through you because that's really not necessary.

And an edit to add this...

sadie, if you're going to make a new name to try and make a new start- perhaps it would be best not to start off with lying about it. Also perhaps a new email address is would be a good idea if you really do want to fool everyone.

I agree Minxy. Besides the new rule proposed in MT, maybe we should request (demand?) that members discuss things with moderators in the MT thread before carrying them out. Such as the 'Our own Soundtrack' and '...Broadway' thread ideas.

Aha! Another Valley Girl! (I hope not... valley girls are irritating.)

Hi, I'm Skittles, I actually go by that in RL. I lurk around in the General Forum. I'm in high school in San Diego and paranoid about identity theft so nothing more may be said other than I am OK @ playing guitar, self-taught (i.e. cr*ppy) pianist, in an independent study program, currently getting Bs, interested in going to Greece to study Trojan history, then move to Berkely & get a writing degree after that. Maybe vice-versa. Oh, and I have several family problems that would make this paragraph 5x longer. Then again, it'd reveal too much about my identification.

Other tidbits: I don't do drugs, I'm a virgin, (in EVERY sense,) I love writing character bios and plotlines more than I love writing the actual MEAT (descriptions and such) of the story. My Lit teacher is a strong Muslim woman that has a knack for giving me writing projects that force me to work my *ss off to get good writing turned in for my well-deserved A in her class, & I have found that despite our religions and their 'conflicting' messages and such, we still can have a friendly relationship, even a mentorship. And because of this mentorship I beleive I'm (unfortunately) more religiously tolerant than the Clintons, because I see no reason why Obama being Muslim, (which he isn't anyway,) would be a detterence to his candidacy in the White House.

PS, despite the fact that I'm born-raised-and-firmly republican, I vote Obama for '08. And '12.

Hell, I think he could become dictator for the next 40 years and have better popularity percentages than Bush, plus less scandals than any Clinton ever could. Oprah likes, I like. Not really, but you get my drift.

Hi, I'm Daffodil. No, not my real name, but it's a lot more fun. I'm 15 (almost 16...) and a sophmore. I play flute and piano and violin, but only in my dreams. I also like japanese and really want to see Wicked in japan, even though I won't be able to understand most of it. For now, I will have to keep watching the youtube trailer. That's about all I have to say. Bye!

Welcome to the boards daffodil, your the first new member to actually take my suggestion to go and introduce yourself seriously.

I can't take the japanese production as seriously as the others. It looks like an anime on stage for some reason, or maybe its just because it sounds like an anime with all the japanese. Still, it is really good anywhere.

Hello everyone.
My name is Racheal, and i am such a fan of Wicked. Idina, Kristin and Kerry are my complete idols.
I am predominantly a dancer, focused in ballet though studied in allll types of dance. I also sing and act too. I train every single day, which keeps my in a permanent good mood. Always bouncy and over excited - just like Galinda really. =D

I love places like this where everyone loves the same things. =) Yay.

Hope you are all well.
Talk soon.
Bye bye.

I have no idea what the 'song' is.
Valley Girl (my version) is the rich, idiotic, bottled-blonde with the fake tan that drives while talking on her cell phone and applying makeup and smoking and drinking her coffee at the same time. And yes, people ARE that stupid in California. I know, it's sad.

Hi there,

My name is Chris and I'm one of the few male posters on this site. I teach elementary school in upstate NY and have (you guessed it) aquatic turtles in my classroom. I am a fan of Wicked and just finished SOAW. My wife and I loved the musical, though I'm the Maguire fan, having read many of his other revisionist novels. I was lost for a bit during SOAW, so I connected to this forum in my search for answers. It seems this website is highly rated by Google (which I use daily). Enough rambling. I appreciate the docility of the posters compared to previous sites I've been a part of (flame wars, anyone?) So there you go. I'm 31 at the moment.
