Torchwood's great, a bit darker then Doctor Who (and definitely more than aimed-at-kids SJ Adventures). I'm assuming you're American here (correct me if I'm wrong), so have you had the latest Christmas special over there, where Matt Smith is introduced? Dr. D Junior Member	posted 03-20-2010 10:07 AM Hello y'all (I'm from Ohio but I still appreciate the term y'all). Came here to introduce myself as I've seen suggested to others. Dr. D is a double entendre because it is me (or will be this spring when I defend my doctoral dissertation) and also because I always liked Dr. Dillamond's character in Wicked (both book and musical). I've been lurking on here for a while and will probably start contributing to discussions shortly. Aside from being a huge fan of Wicked (both the novels and the musical), I am a fan of music and musical theatre in general. I played the trumpet in college but got away from it during graduate school. My tastes in music as well as literature, television, and movies, are rather eclectic. I also recently took up cycling and I'm planning to do a century ride (100 miles) this summer. IP: Logged

I have been in love with Wicked now for...I lost count. A good few months? I'm going to see it in London in September, very excited for that . I've read all three of the Wicked Years and I am eargerly awaiting the next one. (By the way, spelling isn't my strong point, so if something does go wrong, just point it out for me.) I'm 14 (or will be in a week or so) and I actually like Degrassi. I love the Gregory Maguire books, and am a bit of an amateur writer myself (not that good, probably, but it's fun regardless). I hope to become famous here for being the infamous L. Frank Baum expert, as I've read all his Oz books(From the Marvelous Wizard of Oz to the Life and Adventures of Santa Clause) for research on my current literary attempt, also about Iz, or something like it. I just found this forum a few weeks ago when I was looking for patterns for an Elphaba Act 2 dress. (I couldn't find any, but I found pics on Galinda's Wardrobe that help a little bit) Anyway, I'm new to the forum, but I kind of know what's up, since I've been on every spare second since then. I really like reading and memorizing broadway musicals that I'll probably never star in during my spare time, not that I have much.
