Thank you helenbooktrip. it wasnt as bad today but it does make me think i have signs of xenophobia. yesterday i came out walked for a sec with shaking legs and then told the teacher who screamed at the kid and then i changed.Anyways, my question is do you guys think PE should be in schools. I think its completely demeaning to be forced to change in front of other people. I sweat i think ill go into a full fledged panic attack one day. But i do have my pleasures at home such as wicked by my computer and glee. Which I'm obbsesed with as you can see from my signature. ------------------ IP: Logged |

yes, i think PE should be mandatory in schools, especially north american schools. we are getting more and more unhealthy, so for health reasons, yes, i support PE. but i understand what you're saying about the change room situation. what if you wore boxers and an undershirt and then you would still be pretty covered up when you had to change? just an idea. i also like witchnoy's suggestion of trying to change your class schedule. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Gute Nacth Frauline Helenbooktrip. Gute Nacth Witchboy. Do any of you have any idea why Glinda will be under house arrest in the next book. ------------------ IP: Logged |

pfft, probably so she doesnt blab anything to the public about elphaba or to keep her from retaliating. glinda could prbably stage a coup if she appealed to the right audience. ------------------ IP: Logged |

How do you become a success? IP: Logged |

a success in what? school? career? money? parenthood? friendship? cooking? crafts? ------------------ IP: Logged |

WitchBoy06 Member |
hee hee, the craft... well, success is when you achieve your goals and you are satisfied. to achieve your goals, you have to have focus and determination and be willing to do what it takes to get what you want. and because for most of us we need to get jobs to support ourselves, you also have to be a hardworker. or at least thats what i think. May not be "weird" enough, just a question. This is my 1st time clicking into these boards in many months. Can anyone tell me what the latest we know re: 4th Oz novel (last I knew to have a working title of "The Watermark")? I understand this is possibly rhetorical to many of you; but I'd appreciate any info, or a link to such. Thanks, Peace, PD ------------------ IP: Logged |

So I have a question for those of you who are part of the GLBT community. I have this friend who tells me that in "gay relationship years" one month is equivilant to one year. So, if he's with a guy for more than a few weeks he's like "wow, I was with him for like a gay lifetime." What are your thoughts on this? I always found it absurd and just his way of dropping nice guys when he got bored with them. BUT, maybe I don't understand the community. No disrespect meant, just an honest question. IP: Logged |

its a good question! before i started dating i didn't understand, really... but now i kinda do. i don't know what it is but all my relationships last maybe weeks or even DAYS. maybe it's just a thing, i don't know how to explain it. my longest relationship has been with Chris (a whole month and a week or so). so yaw. does that answer your question? ------------------ IP: Logged |

can you die from lack of exposure to sunlight??? :O IP: Logged |
|
kumbicia Member |
No but you can get SAD which stands for seasonal effective disorder. The winter one can cause morning sickness, difficulty waking up in the morning, and overeating it can also lead to depression. The summer one can lead to anxiety, irritability, insomnia, depression, and suicide. ------------------ IP: Logged |

wow. well, when you put it that way... but, in defense of my nocturnal sensibilities, im almost never sad on my own. its always an outside force that causes my *mope-tastic fits of sadness*. ooh, ooh! i jut inspired myself to write a poem... **A Boy sits in the Shade/It All appears the Boring Same/But this One Boy's Thoughts can Depress/He Feels Mope-Tastic Fits of Deep Sadness/His Heart doth Squeeze every Day/But the Juice it Moves is Heavy with Gray** ah-thank you, ah-thank you... ------------------ [This message has been edited by WitchBoy06 (edited 04-13-2011).] IP: Logged |

to grow a book, you plant a what? IP: Logged |
|
kumbicia Member |
My guess would be a page. ------------------ IP: Logged |

thanks, i swear i was puzzled over that one for a while haha... ------------------ IP: Logged |

Was my response helpful? It was the only answer that made sense. Or you could plant a letter to make a word and plant that to make a sentence which would be planted for a paragraph and you plant that for a page which you then plant for a chapter or a book(you could plant the chapter for the book). Sorry if that seems confusing I'm feeling particularly philosophical at the moment. ------------------ IP: Logged |

That is very good advice. It also made me laugh. I decided i'm only doing it at school, unless the chicken nuggets tempt me, since my mom is getting all concerned about me not getting proteins at lunch. ------------------ IP: Logged |

WitchBoy06 Member |
sounds cool, kumbicia. but... two questions: why are you being a veggie head? and what's the point of doing it if your gonna eat meat at home, and chicken nuggets at school? im a vegeterian, have been for liiike two years and some months. ever since i saw a documentary of how they treat animals. (i sound very Elphaba, he he!) anyways, yeah. ------------------ IP: Logged |

I'm doing it for my sister, not the one who died, who is arguably my favorite person in the world. And its just too hard to do it at home. Another thing, don't criticize me. I'm more like a half vegetarian. ------------------ IP: Logged |
