My guess is that thos pictures were from Deviant Art but I could be wrong. Meanwhile I love them. IP: Logged |

Yes, they are from Deviant Art, that magical, bottomless grab-bag where a few dazzling gems twinkle amongst an endless array which otherwise ranges from simply technically poor to sad and strange beyond any attempt at description. It is possible, however, for some lack in technical skill and execution to be made up for by the sheer, utter awesomeness of the underlying concept. ------------------ IP: Logged |

I have an injured box turtle. We found him after he'd been hit by a car, but is still alive. He has several cracks in his shell and I'm fairly sure a broken leg. However, Charles (for that's the name we've given him) is still in good spirits and doing well. Today after several days of research my roomate and I went out to buy the materials to build him an indoor habitat. I figure while he's healing he'll be better off in the house where we can monitor tempearature control and and we'll be able to take care of him. The eventual goal is to set him free but I'm not sure if he'll be able in the end. We'll see how well he heals. But we went through all the trouble of building and had misjudged the amount of dirt we used so he was able to climb over the side. This means we're back to square one. Ugh. I guess it's our own fault. Just wanted to share our adventure with Charles the turtle. IP: Logged |

I've just been catching up on Project Runway. *possible spoiler alert* First off, Suede makes me want to put my fingers in my ears and scream loudly. Why, why does he have to talk about himself in the third person? I thought the model-buying-green-material thing was crap, really. I don't even remember anything from that show which proves how much of an impression the designs made on me! I do remember thinking that every dress was too short and maybe some of them should consider some length. Fashion isn't all about barely covering your knickers. Having said that, I completely adored Suede's dress and I would buy it even though I would never wear it. I loved last week's challenge, some of them had awesome photos and churned out some pretty cool stuff. Kenley, Kelli and Leanne stood out for me. Stella is annoying me as well, with "leather, leather, leather....". So... those are my thoughts. I don't pretend to know anything about fashion, I just like the show! *end possible spoiler alert* Yero, are you still doing your designs? I saw your video about not having the budget to keep up with it fully, but I'd love to see sketches or something. You really should do whatever you can, it's amazing for your portfolio. And also, I think you have an amazingly sexy voice. ------------------ IP: Logged |

**Project Runway spoilers ahead** Suede annoys me too. Plus it seems to me that the producers are running out of ideas for the challenges, because the "green material" challenge was pretty lame. And I really disliked Suede's dress, it looked like I could make that with duct tape. **End Project Runway Spoilers** IP: Logged |

I'm still going to do it, or at least try my best...I already made the dress for last week's challenge, albeit in muslin. IP: Logged |

Hooray for Joshua! I was pulling for him. I'm really really shocked though, that it came down to him and Twitch. If I had my way, Twitch would've been out of the competition a long time ago. But good for Katee as well with that $50K surprise. Favorite routine of the season - Katee and Joshua's John Mayer routine. Pretty much sums up my life right now and that has always been one of my favorite songs. ------------------ IP: Logged |

I got rather bored today and decided to make a Sim of Galinda, since I was inspired by the weird Sim-Gelphie pics in the Gelphie thread to make Sims that actually looked somewhat like the characters: The Galinda Sim turned out sort of Megan Hilty-esque. I considered making Fiyero, but I really don't like musicalverse Fiyero so much and I didn't want to spend the time making a blue diamond-patterned skin. People in my area are panic buying gasoline. Since we live in the mountains we were told that the Southeastern US gas shortage was going to hit us very hard. Gas prices are already at 5 dollars a gallon but not expected to rise TOO much more because Gov. Easley inacted a law limiting price inflation. Still, our city pumps are already dry except for Diesel and Premimum gas and we aren't expected to have more until two weeks from Monday. I'm not sure how accurate citywide rumors have been, but it's kinda frightening if they're even a little true. I know we're out of gas, almost. Just thought I'd share. IP: Logged |

So has the Pinehurst/Fayetville area. And I wanted to go to Cagney's this weekend. Blast! (Think of this as an aside.) Blowing Rock is completely dry. (Tis a town nearish to me.) I've heard NC's taken a pretty hard hit from the whole thing. [This message has been edited by lostladyknight (edited 09-12-2008).] IP: Logged |

Five dollars a gallon!!! Are you kidding? Elementary maths... five dollars, is about two pound fifty... a gallon is what, eighteen litres or something? Woah. We're paying about one pound, twenty pence a LITRE in the UK. A US gallon would cost us about twenty-two quid, eleven bucks. You're getting 18 litres for £2.50, during a crisis! I am so moving. 18 litres of milk would cost about a tenner! IP: Logged |

We had to be really carefull with double clicking and always making sure we didn't leave the mouse floating over anything (like a link or a thumbnail on the desktop screen). Then again, after awhile the computer just crashed. ------------------ IP: Logged |
