Lol, the funny thing is, I have kissed a girl and it was nothing spectacular. Could be because we were both sloppy drunk and that's exactly how it ended up, quite sloppy.

But I wouldn't mind trying again completely sober.

I kissed a girl, twice. The first time was to prove her bf she would, and the second time was a dare.

She's a good kisser.

Coincidentally, I too have kissed a girl, in fact. Or 4... or more... Maybe I'm just a slut.

Wait. You're a guy. This is the context of girl-girl kissing...or maybe I'm just over analyzing the context of the song.

Heh. Yeah...as an actual woman-loving woman, I can't say I'm that enthralled with the whole "Tee-hee, I'm straight but I kissed another girl!" thing.

When I kissed the girl, I would've claimed to be straight. Now I consider myself curious, but lack the chance to try anything new, as I'm in a serious relationship. Not that I'm complaining by any means. But I certainly wouldn't turn down a good opportunity.

i consider myself to be bi, but in more of a physcial aspect. i have enjoyed a few sexual encounters with girls (hope that wasn't TMI) but i've dated more boys than that and currently have very serious feelings for a boy.

i was going to ask ya'll a couple questions pertaining to this subject, but should i post them here or in the weird questions thread?

Seriously though, who really gives a shit? I'd be willing to bet it has nothing to do with Viacom being hurt by copyright infringment, and all to do with them wanting to make a quick buck off of Google.

Sueing for billions of dollars? Do they honestly believe they've lost billions of dollars because of youtube?

It's actually possible, but it's only able to be imagined once one takes into account just how many people watch Youtube. It's very realistic for billions of people to not spend their money on any home videos or go to any movies produced by Viacom, or watch a lot of TV anymore (lower ratings means fewer competitive advertisers giving them lots of money) because it's up for free on Youtube.

Not to mention the money they lose by not selling the rights to people to legally view the materials, and the gratuitous money people throw into lawsuits for distress and whatnot.

Have you guys seen this book cover for SOAW? I read and purchased it when it was still hardback. I really like this cover though. I thought I'd share it with you all, in case I wasn't the only one who's never seen it before.

I thought it was interesting.

Meanwhile I just decided that since my hair has been evil and curling itself lately (like CURLY CURLY) that I ought to stop straightening it and try using curling products to see if I can make it look nice curly.

So yay for hair changes tonight! I'm still trying to get mine dry so I can see how it looks.

Let me know how the dye goes!

Wow! I think that one may be my favorite of the three.

Why haven't I seen these?

I was on Amazon earlier looking to check and make sure my copy of ALAM was still all taken care of so I'd recieve it on the release date when I decided to see if there was any cover art out for it yet. There wasn't... but that's how I found the new SOAW shot...

I don't like the prettification of Elphaba's image that we see in the musical and its promotional materials spilling over into the books. She's still the Wicked Witch of the West--she's not glamorous, nor "pretty." Her description in the original book just about matches the appearance of the witch in the 1939 film.

Of course, I didn't like Son of a Witch at all, to start with; Maguire's production of Wicked sequels in the wake of the musical's success just depresses me....

1. to me it looks like they are trying to copy off of the musical, with Elphaba kinda whispering into Liir's ear, and liir having the hat brim down over his eyes and smirking.
2. Liir looks too much like a chick.
3. i don't remember him ever wearing her hat.
4. i don't like whoever they picked to model as Elphie. her skin is too bright green for my taste, and her lis are red. that just looks silly. our Elphie never used cosmetics. and i can't see that well, but are her nails painted red too?
5. what really gets me, though, is that this was never a scene in the book, and it would never have happened. grr.

This is the version that was released in April in England, and the only one available over here. I really don't like it, it's just to attract people who have seen the musical.

Yero?
I have a question. Is there currently a window display in Bloomingdales which involves Rent costumes? I am undecided whether I dreamed this or actually read it somewhere.

oh man, me too. i have two small sewing machines, one from A.C. Moore and the other was a gift from my friend. they are a bit smaller than the width of my laptop. i assume they would work like a "real" sewing machine, but i never got them to work. the first one was missing a piece and the second one...i forget what happened with that. i think it was just really too complicated for my friend to figure out.

i would check eBay. or place an ad somewhere for a used one. i met a woman in Barnes and Nobles in the crafting book aisle that offered to give me her old one. she never called me though

sorry, i dont have any good ideas. :/ but i would look for a used one first and then once you have enough money get a nice high-quality one that will last you forever.
