No reason to blush... I'm just taking my own notes in the margins of the book. Every time I encounter something I find interesting or feel like writing about.

On one page I found it interesting that GM referred to Elphaba as The Witch so many times, so I underlined them and made a note about what I thought it meant. I also tracked part of their journey on the map, found canon allusions and all of that. Or any foreshadowing for later, and that type of thing.

Also insights to the characters I may have missed the first time. I personally completely cover the pages writing all over, but if you chose to do it there may be some pages where you don't write at all. And some where you just write a bit. It helps me get more out of a book.

Holy cow. I leave on an internet-sebbaticle and two people find out that they're preggers. I must be very annoying because ya'all are partying without me...

Ah, well. I originally came to share a funny story about a mishap I had two days ago with a swingset and the reprecussions of the bruises I recieved, but now I'm too happy from secondhand- baby- ecstasy to think about that.

Hell, no I'm not.

So, being a moron with my friends I was swinging really high and then a wind came and knocked me off balance. I tried to bail out and I fell and my arm got caught. I sent an e-mail of the painfully funny experience to someone or another, but I can't find the picture now. Which sucks...

Anyway, the next day my friend John saw it and was like, "Who DID THAT to you?" in his very macho- protective -of -everyone- way.

It's pretty cute when he does that. It helps that he's cute, too... I'll post a picture of his chocolatey goodness sometime. Maybe I can find one of him while he still had an afro. Hmmm, I'll have to look.

Anyway, I tell him the story, and two other friends of mine standing nearby and him start roling around on the ground laughing- literally- because one of the witnesses came out from the bathroom and said some embarrasing stuff about how I looked while falling on my face.

I was cool with her retelling and all because I asked her to, but I'm glad I got a sunburn earlier because my face went bright red when she did the chicken-wing impression.

So yeah... Other than that I've just been obscenely anal about calorie counting recently. I think I've lost weight... 'think.'

Nobody's near Californiaaaaa! So not fair...

I don't have enough patience or focus to annotate a book. Even mine. And I go through reams of paper just working out subplot details.

I tried annotating my study bible once. I had a bad dream where Jesus was stabbing me in the tongue with a pen, screaming "How do YOU like it?" and I was really scared and Saint Michael was in the background laughing his winged ass off and I was embarrassed, 'cuz Saint Michael is the Word of God and an angel and actually pretty hot from what I remember of the dream, so I never tried to annotate my bible again after that.

And I don't plan on having Elphaba poke me with her broom while I'm trying to sleep with a tweaker-version of Liir sitting in the corner messing around in my book with a pen anytime soon, because I know that if I annotate again, my unconcious is gonna guilt-trip me again, and it really isn't fun when that happens because, in case no one noticed, I've got a pretty sick sense of humor when I'm THINKING about what I should type.

Imagine an iceberg. Know that saying? Well, in psychology, the unconscious isn't where you store memory or learned ability or crap like that, it's where you shove your deepest darkest secret desires so they can come up at you in your sleep like evil hot winged angels taunting you for scribbling something about a very menacing threat by God to some devil-worshippers in my bible.

And I'm actually studying college-level textbooks in my spare time, so don't say that it's high-school phsych crapola, 'cuz it ain't and me and my tired self need to go to sleep but now I'm afraid of Elphaba coming at me with a mechanical pencil.

Sheesh, thanks a lot, Matt & LLK, for your bringing up of bad memories and mean angels and stuff like that.

I'm gonna go now. I'm about to do this thing called '30 hour famine' with my youth group and it's 2 in the morning and I need to get some shut eye before I type another weird story. So... I won't be responding for awhile again. Although, tired typing is like drunk dialing, so I might not do this again for a while...

Ugh, g'night. The troll is going under her bridge for the weekend. Enjoy your annotations and such. Perhaps I'll come again, during a time when I'm not supposed to be playing on the computer and I'm supposed to be doing the last bit of my physics homework... again.

Zzzzzzzzz...

I just played the game Oregon Trail with the Wicked characters...it was really amusing ^^ I took Boq, Glinda, Nessa, Elphaba, and Fiyero, and they repeatedly kept losing the trail and nearly drowning themselves in all the rivers they came across. Glinda ended up dying of a snakebite and Boq died of cholera, which made me sad.

Now I keep imagining the characters in 1800's prairie gear, riding in wagons and shooting oxen to stay alive.

My weekend was good. I went to two birthday parties and discovered that it's nearly impossible to look bad dancing in a strobe light. Honestly. And it's really hard to play balloon volleyball in the aforementioned strobe light, too.

Yea, balloon volleyball is hard in a stobe light, but glow stics are awesome.

At Rendezvous (sea scout competition) we have a dance, which is a lot of fun. Everyone got glowsticks, and there were two young guys who were sort of crowd control or something, anyway, they were just standing there with their suits and sunglasses on, so people were putting glowsticks on them, taking pictures, etc. It was fun, and they eventually started dancing too.

Well, actually, I want some help. There's one tattoo 'm definitely getting, but I want another...

I've been working on the design, but anything anyone can say to help would be greatly appreciated:

For my "dislikes" I would say the black is a bit overwhelming. And I'm not sure about the colors. I think they work well, but I'm not sure if they're perfect.

Thoughts?

I feel that vibrant colors look better in tattoos, and I agree that the black inner part seems out of place.

Completely unrelated. I no longer have ankles.

You have cankles? Ewww...lol.

I feel you're right about the vibrant colors, but I feel a vibrant green, coupled with a vibrant lavender and vibrant blue is too much. Of course, I'm ignorant about tattoos, so I don't know what would look best in skin and ink.

It's more of a personal preferance I think. I think brighter=better. Tattoos will fade over time. As I say alot when talking about tattoos- talk with an artist or two and get their opinions. Is that the size you'd be most likely getting it? If so there really isn't a lot of green so I feel it wouldn't been too over whelming.

and at the moment yes. I'm unsure if it's normal pregnancy related swelling or if it's something bad going on. Bleh.

Tattoos are sort of oldish news I guess... though I am excited for the design of this one...

The fun part is the nipple! I'm so excited to get it pierced, I could never pierce it myself, I can't get the needle all the way through... it's much tougher than cartilage.

At risk of sharing way to much information, it was either the nipple or below the belt. I figured this would have way more showing off opps. I'm so very excited.

Just my personal opinion. Take it as such!

MTO, any reason why you aren't getting both done at once? I have a thing for symmetry so when I see only one done it seems a little strange looking to me.

Even me with my tattoos and cartilidge I feel lopsided since I have more on my right (my dominant) side.

Revised:

I like it better. But I'm not sure.

I think I might just get a flash peace sign.

um... partially because of endorphins... the first one I'm hoping won't be so bad, but then the endorphins will run low and I don't think I'd be able to take a second nip and a tattoo after that... small pain tolerance I guess.
