An update on my granny.
She's doing better... while she was in the hospital they were able to clear an artery that was 96 percent blocked.
While she was in the ICU she spoke to my grandpa about putting her in the nursing home... but then she started feeling better and getting better, so she'll probably just go back to her home.
Thank you guys so much for the prayers and virtual hugs! It really means a lot.

I'm just sitting here on my bed now, about to read a few more chapters of "You Suck" (this book is so funny), and sippin on a strawberry daiquiri.

Sweet dreams everyone!

I wish her the best!

(There's seriously a book called "You Suck"? I gotta find it!)

Like mustard?

I love mustard. Especially when it's honey mustard. You know what else I love? Jam. Especially cherry jam. But I don't like cherry jam and honey mustard together, because it would be simultaneously too-sweet and disgusting. Which is not tasty.

Your post compelled me to post. You know what's awesome with honey mustard? Pretzels. Dip Snyder's old-fashioned pretzels into honey mustard... ugh. Heaven in your mouth.

I know! And when you have a bran muffin and you smear it with jam, it's almost as good!

But honey mustard + pretzels is awesome.

Wanna know something else I like? Relish. It's like, MINI pickles of uber-y goodness!

Oh, and peanut butter. Nothing else I have to say. Other than, Nyuuuuh!

Mustard is disgusting. It's on my "foods that make me throw up even thinking about them", right under marmalade and cottage cheese. Eurgh.

Muffins, however, are amazing. Especially triple chocolate ones from Costa. They don't make them like they used to though.

OR!!! *hyperventilates* those pumpkin and cream cheese ones from Starbucks... why don't we have those in England?! We definitely should have. There are only so many you can eat whilst on holiday, and they don't survive plane journeys well.

Yes, yes yes. Yum.

My day was interesting. My history teacher jumped up and down in high heels, but that's nothing new. (We're sure she's going to break a heel off someday, but it hasn't happened yet.) Then I watched a Drivers' Ed video about drunk driving. Or rather most of my class watched, and I listened with my eyes closed.

But I have a sore throat which is making me hoarse (and the day before a Wicked karaoke party, too!) and I lost the fake daisy I had on my backpack. And that's the worst that's happened to me today. So that's pretty good.

I was able to figure out that the odd lump on my tummy was an elbow rather than a foot/heel.

My day sucked. Work is getting really stressful. But one good thing that came out of it was being told that I'm up for a promotion next quarter. I'm super excited about that.

Thanks Clarinetbaby. Also just so you're aware, there's a little button that looks like a piece of paper and a pencil above your posts, that's the edit button and it allows you to edit your posts. It's better that you edit one post to reply to a couple of different people rather than posting three times in a row. In the case of "quoting" different people, you would just click the quote button as if it were a new post, then copy the formula, go back to your original post, click the edit button, and paste in the quote formula and reply there. Just a little tip.

The guy I love invited me to stay with him at his dorm in Minnesota over my spring break. I am very broke right now, and after taking 80-90 out of my next paycheck for gas, I would only have like 30 bucks left. I don't want to drive to another state with 30 bucks to my name so I had to turn down the offer. It was not fun at all saying no.

On a slightly lighter note, I am writing a song called "Requiem for a Hundred Years" and it is turning out absolutely perfect. Everything I am hearing in my head is coming out of my fingers on the piano and I am very happy.

I've been trying to post more because I really enjoy it here. I really think we need to try to spark some more discussions. It seems like the same few threads are all we frequent now. Not to say I don't still love it here, but my only idea for a new thread only has like four people. Let's start some new games or find a new book to discuss or something.

I know! I'm so excited!

I also probably can't go; it's too far away and I can't afford plane fare (as well as the ticket itself)...I'll just content myself with the fact that I got to see Wicked and Legally Blonde two weeks ago. RENT was sold out by the time I got around to buying tickets for that particular week.

On a happier note, the touring production is coming to my city next week, and I have tickets to see it then!

At least you have the tour! I'm stuck with the memories of Rent: Butchered. The West End is scarred forever. Bring on the student productions, let's show them how it's done.

Actually, this kind of links to a slight moral dilemma I'm currently facing.

In the recent Rent disaster in London, Maureen was played by Denise Van Outen and Joanne by Francesca... somebody.

The BBC has begun this tradition of casting the lead of a musical on TV, headed by Andrew Lloyd Webber and with the public getting the final vote. This year, it's the turn of Oliver. The judges pick 12 people who then sing live each week and the public vote. Like American Idol I guess.

One of the judges is Denise Van Outen and one of the final 12 is Francesca whats-her-face. Clearly, after snogging each other's faces off on stage for 4 months there is going to be some sort of friendship here. This isn't actually what I'm bothered about, everyone knows it's all set up anyway because the 2 previous winners were both approached to audition and the program is always edited to favour certain people. I can live with that. I'm over it.

Basically, I dislike anyone who was in Rent: Remixed. I can't sing/dance/act to save my life but if someone had offered me a place in that show, even if I hadn't had a job in years and was living in a cardboard box, I would have said no on principle. It was disrespectful and had no life. Angel wasn't a drag queen. Maureen was a prostitute (not actually but she dressed like one). I just hate the show and everyone who had anything to do with it.

But Francesca Thingy is amazing and she would be fantastic as Nancy and she will probably win.

So, I feel like I shouldn't like her because she agreed to take part in Rent: Reduced, but she is actually amazing and I do kind of want her to win! What a dilemma.

And Rowan Atkinson is going to be Fagin
I love love LOVE him and I will be going to see him and I will hopefully meet him!

This is turning into a crazy long post, but hey, it's been a crazy long day. There's only one more thing I wanted to mention, and it's a stupid idea but I feel like mentioning it anyway, PLUS it's about Wicked! Look at me being all on topic in GC.

I don't know about everyone else but I'm disappointed that the Wicked film will be the musical. I want a film of the book. GM said that all the scripts he got were crap, so we should write one. Between us we know the book inside out and there are a lot of writers on here. I know script writing is very different to book writing and everything... but hey, it would give us a bit of a project. Things have been slow recently. I think you may all think it's a silly idea, but I thought I would just mention it. I was thinking about it last night. It could be fun.

Anyone who just read all that bullshit can have a cookie. Actually, 2 cookies. There was a lot of shit.

That was very interesting, actually. I didn't know that they messed RENT up that badly in the West End...egads. Angel not a drag queen?! But that way of picking who's the lead in a musical is cool.

As to the Wicked script-I had no idea that they had decided which version to base a script from. I like them both equally, so I could go with either one. However, I'd love to help write a script based on the book. It would be very fun, and I have no major writing projects going on right now.

I really need to begin a healthier lunch time ritual. As of right now, it consists of Wendys Fries and honey mustard.

I think I'll do a salad today.
