What is with the trend of replacing 's' with 'z'? It doesn't make you look cool- it doesn't save you any keystrokes. It's annoying. And also- sux is not a word. Sucks is though. IP: Logged |

I agree wholeheartedly. And ellipses, I'm sorry, "dot dot dots" are only to be used sparingly and used in this way: "And then there was this other time ...," You use a space before the ellipses and sometimes when you use them there are supposed to be a space between each elipsis. End grammar lesson. IP: Logged |

I am not a grammar nazi nor will I ever be... obviously I use the whole dot dot dot thing often. IP: Logged |

I don't know why i replace S's with Z'z... I guess it iz because if u say the word IS the S soundz like a Z... same with Sounds and words like Dogs...i just enjoy it =]] And the dotz make things organized... i spell wordz differently to save my life... ------------------ IP: Logged |

quote: *is miffed.* Save your life? Doesn't it take more time to find the extra keys than to type normally? And are you serious that "s" sounds like "z" to you so you type it that way?
All spelled with S's. Not Z's. And since when does "Please" turn into "Plz?" That comes out as: "pllllzz" one syllable. "Dotz" ELLIPSES do not make things more oganized. It is saying that you're cutting yourself off, so really it makes you sound very disorganized. Catch my drift?
"Hello my name is- and I would really like to say - that I really enjoy- this sport because - it is really fun." Imagine each word before the dash being cut off or said quietly. You lose the entire meaning of the sentnce. IP: Logged |

Well, miss Adah certainly is miffed indeed if she wasted all that time ranting about z's. I know this is gonna sound really rude because you probably haven't heard of me before, Adah, but take a second to suck on a skittle or something and look at the bright part of life. PS, Hi again errbody! Yes, yes, I know I haven't posted since last August or something. Yes, I did feel terrible about ditching y'all, but shizznit came up. For several months in a row. Good news: I have my first B average in 6 years. Wow, it took THAT long for a B average... I haven't had so many Bs since friggin' 5th grade. Two Bs, two Cs, and two As!! OMG! Bad news: The reason why I left for so long originally was because I had to go to Texas to my grandmother's funeral. Good news: Writer's strike is over, and so is my writer's block! Heroes, and Lost, and badass main characters, oh my! ~SkittleselttikS~ [This message has been edited by Skittles of Domsers (edited 02-26-2008).] IP: Logged |

MTO, it is strange how much we can change. and it happens all the time, like not just in our teenage years, but all the time after that. i know that certain events in my life have been like milestones for when ive gone through big changes. like when i started college and was on my own for the first time. also when i moved to calgary and pretty much started my life over. its interesting to look back. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Well, I feel like being egotistical. I am currently 'rewriting' Eragon as a fanfic that I may very well never post anywhere and it already is better after the first of my many 'additions'. Basically what I mean is I'm trimming the purple prose and adding a Stackpole-like dose of politics and scandal and interesting twists and veeeery tricky-to-write nuances in the characters. (For anyone who's read Eragon and knows what the F I'm talking about, Arya's been revamped with PTSD, 'cuz seriously, she avoided rape via magic but she can't ESCAPE with magic??? BS, if you ask me. She's currently in denial about the entire torture sequence, despite having a badly-infected broken leg that Eragon set for her. And I know, she's not supposed to be concious, but too bad! It's my version! It's going in the same direction anyway. Eragon can't use magic in my version and he has to rush to the Varden to take care of the infected leg before it falls off. Not to mention the other... wounds. *cackling* Oh, yeah, that's MY version of it, baby. This ain't no friggin' PG-13 book! Although, it really never was. Spoiler!-> Example: the baby-spearing @ (spoiler) that makes it OK for Eragon to mercilessly kill Orcs. Oops, I meant Urgals, I (don't) swear! Paolini's got some work on that before he convinces me of ANYTHING different between the two sets.) This Ego-Trip Brought to You By: IP: Logged |

Still no Acey huh? I feel terrible because he sent me a letter once in the mail... and I never did reply. I wrote him a five page letter then never sent it. I don't even know why I didn't, I just got scared. I remember you Minxy for sure! I should probably get a new username So I guess what prompted me to come back... IP: Logged |

Aw Heathy... I'm very sorry to hear about your Granny. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. But I'm glad that it made you think back to important times/people in your life and that we were all included in that! It really is great to have you back, darling. How are things with your fam, if you know what I mean? ------------------ [This message has been edited by Plant a Note (edited 03-12-2008).] IP: Logged |

Well, Not sure what the last I shared was, but my parents did wind up filing for bankruptcy, my sister who had left her husband and two kids is now back with her family trying to make things work out, my parents say they're happier now than they've ever been... which I find totally strange because if I were in their shoes I think I might've went and drove a steak knife into my chest. I don't even see/speak to them that often, which I feel bad for... but I always feel awkward and anxious when I'm around them. Actually... I feel like that around anyone. So my life pretty much consists of me going to work, driving home, doing something with my boyfriend at our apartment, and going to sleep. Which might be the definition of a boring non-productive life. I can't even go to walmart because I feel like everyone is watching me. I won't be like this forever... I'm just trying to settle. Last year I struggled with a prescription drug addiction that really drove me into a depression I never thought I'd experience. I've given the pills up, been clean for two months, but I know they're not completely out of my system yet. Hmph. So! There's an update on all things Heath. I did finish three new songs last month... if you'd like to hear... secondhandroses.com How's everything been going, PaN? ------------------ "I cannot live without my life! I looked at the first page of the thread and I read that we were supposed to talk about deep-sea trawler fishing. Hmmm. I know it destroys kelp beds and corals because the trawl just randomly scoops up whatever's in the net on the bottom. I know it also catches about a 10th of what it's fishing for and the rest they just let die and throw back into the ocean, including endangered species. I know all of this because Hayden Panettiere (The Invincible Cheerleader from Heroes) is wanted in Japan for trying to protest the saughter of dolphins, and I got curious and looked up other pro-marine-life causes. And PETA. PETA scares me. Good thing I have an arrangement with my PETA cousin. I made a deal with her that if she ever protested at something I was at, I would print posters of her baby pictures and hang them up around where she works, along with her myspace address so people could comment on the lovely pictures of her standing on the beach wearing only her derriere at three years old. Heheheh. There we have it. Trawler fishing. And a random bit about baby butts. IP: Logged |

*big hug to heath & helen* Talking to the depressing annoying friend right now... Edit: That sounded rude. Meh, none of YOU are depressing! Well, except Twyz when she gets PMS... But anyway, me and the friend I've mentioned that likes to lie to me have come to the conclusion that we simply won't talk to each other about things like that anymore. *Another hug available for anyone who wants it.* [This message has been edited by Skittles (edited 03-15-2008).] IP: Logged |

Just got back from a party. The first time I've ever played SSB Brawl... OMG that is a cool game. The adventure mode is like a completely different game! *sighs* If only I had money for my OWN wii... and three spare controllers, and an extra memory card, and... *goes on and on and on* Yes, the party was fun. There was egg-hunting, and there were about 3x more egg-hiders than egg-hunters. I was one of the huters Well, actually, it was really just me and my friend playing Brawl, and the two other egg-finders were a pair of semi-irritating pre-teens that hid away in their room to talk about school gossip or something first chance they could. I don't really blame them, honestly. Then the party separated into two different houses, parents in one and teens and below in the other, so we played more Brawl. I know, I must hang out with very conservative people, but really it was just a boring party without the wii. Other things this weekend: Picked on my cousin that I only see once or so every two years... Picked on an old babysitter who I haven't seen for 4 years... bought a six-pack of reaaaaaly good rootbeer... bought a hot pair of flats... did homework... took dogs to the park... played some guitar... argued with my friend over an ugly dress that she thought I'd look cute in... yeah, pretty basic weekend otherwise. Sorry for the play-by-play. I'm bored. IP: Logged |
