Well the whole thing escalated to the point where Riley was verbally bashing the poor guy. He's 26 years old and has only been out of college a few years. He turned around our theatre program and gave us a place we could be proud of. He took our literal 400$ a year budget and managed to put on two astounding shows a year. He has been there for me through many personal crisies and he was granted a scholarship to study in London at the Globe this summer. On the other hand, he can be an asshole sometimes. I know that, better than a lot of people. But I've seen the guy cry. I've been there for the bad... but also for the good. He's done things that made me question... well alot. But always apologized for it. How many high school teachers did you have that apologized for making you mad? He's a good guy.

Anyway, my sister found out about the group that Riley made and she went on to defend my teacher. He's her teacher now too, and she's known him for years through me. Even gone out for ice cream and dinner. He's even come over to our house. Needless to say she knew everything he did... good and bad. Well Riley started verbally badgering and attacking my sister and I lost it.

He attacked my mentor and he attacked my sister.

I made a group on facebook belittling and badgering him. I did it out of anger and spite and while I'm still very angry at him for his behavior, not only to my teacher but to my fourteen year old sister. Where does a twenty year old man get off saying such horrible things to a little kid?

Anyway... I still shouldn't have done what I did. I'm ashamed that I stooped to his level and that I said the things I did.

I was like "Now I'm not saying I'm not fat... but you need better material because that's like me stepping in your big toe and you asking for the helmich. Besides it's things like that that I don't like you for anyway. How much of a complete asshole does it take to look at a girl who's only slightly over weight and make fat jokes about her behind her back? Someone who'd bent over backwards to be nice and accomodating to you. I know I'm chubby, but God I wasn't that chubby back then."

When he knew me I was like 50 pounds lighter. I mean... I wasn't all that horrible. Gah. I really did have fun with that response.

So, in one of my classes we were discussing the Industrial revolution and the transition from land to money worth and such, and my teacher said "So to all you Jane Austen fans, sorry, her charecters are not the heros in this story."

And not a soul knew who she was except me. Only after I started listing some of her novels was there any recognition. Sweet Jesus.

As if that werent bad enough, I was at Blockbuster renting The Curse of the Golden Flower and i was telling my sister the story, and the guy at the register overheard our discussion and asked who Jane Austen was. This man was twenty i would guess, and he had no idea who she was.

munchkin...you have got me TOTALLY into this thing!! i love the whole idea of it and i started "my invitations" today. i had my night class at the college tonight, so i braught little slips of paper with my link and placed them underneath all the computer mouses (my class was in a computer lab today). and i left a sign with rip-off-tabs in the girls bathroom stall. i SERIOUSLY love it!
