I wrote a poem!

Picture perfect.
If life were a movie, we’d be the stars.
Can’t you see us running down the halls.
Hands held together, laughing hysterically at jokes.
Pushing each other forward, one step at a time.

A waltz around the room.
Remember when the rain came down and we sat together?
We day-dreamed out the window, pretending to pay attention.
Let’s push each other a little farther, can you touch your toes?
The snow came down in little flurries and we stayed inside.
Watching it fall, but that was okay, because we had each other for company.

You call me silently.
With prayers that I normally wouldn’t utter.
With our telekinetic powers that only exists between us.
A link, on a chain that is still unbroken, and will continue to grow.
We’re picture perfect.
A snapshot of reality.
A glimpse of fantasy.
A smile that won’t fade.

We hit the road again.
The highway spread before our fingertips.
Where should we go first?
Past a thousand diners, I can see the stars.
Nothing is black and white anymore, as we cross the country.
The boiling summers of Nevada, the blistering cold of Alaska.
The beautiful springs of Michigan, mixed with the brilliant Autumns.

Time slows down, as if a wheel is spinning backwards.
Silent music plays, to others it’s wisps of air, to us, it’s magic.
One step backwards, one step forward.
People think we are crazy, but we go on wishing.
We go on wanting, we go on hoping.

Smile for the camera.
We’re here, finally.
Together.
The night spreads out before us, as it dawns to day.
The stars spill into sunlight, and we wander the streets.
We walk the halls, we talk amicably.
Like old friends. Like best friends.
We know each other’s secrets.

Picture perfect.
I wish to capture this moment.
For a moment longer.
And never let it go,
Hoping it doesn’t float away.

This is an amazing video! A highschooler arranged this version of Defying Gravity for a marching band. They do formations and everything, and they sound really good. Also, if you watch 'til the end, they have a little bit of Somewhere Over the Rainbow mixed into the song before the last couple notes. I am totally amazed, and want to do this with my highschool band!

Edited because I forgot to include the link haha!

I didn't really want to start a new topic for this, so it's just kind of randomly shoved in here. I have a hard choice to make - for Christmas, do I ask for the Wicked Grimmerie, RENT bible, or Avenue Q coffe table book? I can't decide, and I've never actually seen any of them! I can't afford any myself, and my parents won't want to buy more than one. What do I do?!

I'm getting the Avenue Q book this Christmas b/c I already got the other two.

My Advice? Ask for the Avenue Q book (if you really can't decide) because it's brand new, so there's less of a chance it would be at a reduced price. The RENT bible can probably be found cheaper than it is.

I think some person gets Barbie dolls and makes clothes for them in Idina's coustumes. There's a Maureen one, the Haloween cat outfit one, (obviously) an Elphaba one. They're presents specifically to Idina from a fan.

Trust me, if Idina action figures were availible, I'd be the first to have them.

*envisions ridiculous scenes of Idina kicking Boba Fett's butt*

*pouts* I hate being a girl. I feel really yulky and crampy. And I took a bath and a shower; and all that accomplished is that it made me itchy. Grrr.

And I just want to lay down and watch a movie all day long.

You know I was thinking about the whole giving birth thing. If we feel like this NOW without anything living inside us, imagine how bad it's going to be when we have to do it for nine months and said however many days we go through labor. Nu-uh none for me; thankyouverymuch!

Yeah I'm feeling much better now; though it's kind of a pain because my room is all toasty warm and the rest of the house is freezing. Ah well I'm off to make my second collage of the day for my

And you know what they did before they had actual abortion clinics; or people were too poor to get them?
(Thanks Em; for this one.)
Woman (or girls) stuck knitting needles up there to get rid of the baby.

*shivers* It's bad enough to have a miscarriage; I couldn't imagine killing something on purpose. It's manslaughter..Sort of.

*stretches* Oy, it's been a long day!

They also used coat hangers, predominantly.

I think its a testament to why abortions should stay legal. We live in a world of instant gratification, and rebuking the legalization of abortions is not going to stop women from terminating their pregnancies.

While officially I am Pro-Choice, I do think a woman should use it only as an absolute last resort, and think about putting the baby up for adoption.

Ever wonder - when you're flipping through your songs why you ever bought that one song to begin with? Because you know you're going to skip it anyway and not listen to it - yet you spent 99 cents on it. Or however much it cost you. Oy.vey.
