*yawn* Hi guys. Sorry for my unexplained hiatus if anyone was curious. I got in late last night after yet another delayed flight home, and then had to go right to rehearsal. So needless to say I'm a bit beat today. I'm still trying to catch up on posts I've missed. Blech! I'm so tired!

No, it was defenitely me that had the aversion to wrists. Yay for you remembering.

But I was in an especially sadistic mood when I wrote it, I found it on a post in my LJ from about a year and a half ago and figured I'd post it here to see what sort of reaction I got.

Hey! I use f7 all the time! In word, when you press shift and f7 simultaneously, you get the thesaurus for whatever word you last typed. Man, has that thing come in handy!

Hi all! I just wanted to say happy Labor Day to everyone! I prob won't be on much this weekend, as the boy decided to drive up to spend the weekend! And we've got lots of fun plans for the weekend and a giant BBQ on Sunday with a huge group of my friends from college that I haven't seen in soooo long. I'm so so exited!

So, yeah! Have a great weekend everyone! I'll miss you all!

oooooh PaN! have a lovely weekend that sounds awesome.

I'm thinking I'm going to a pizza night thingy. should be good.

Oh, and I have lost respect for Freshman Dean. He bothers me so much. I don't like the way he talks, and most of the words he speaks are goofed up anyway, and I think that all authortative figures should have realitivly good pronuciation and grammar.

*sighs*

plus, you know, he was just shouting at us about detentions and arrests and suspenions.
whoopedeedoo.

I read my book.

So, who thinks that Katie Holmes ACTUALLY exsists. I mean I know she's like a physical person and all.
but I mean come on, she doesn't do ANYTHING. ..

I don't mind Katie, though personally I don't think she REALLY exsists. she just sits there. rather, she floats. She just sort of walks around aimlessly.

like most celebrities.

I don't like Hollywood.

Who here has seen Brokeback Mountain? I think I'm going to watch it with my mom tomorrow night, and I have a few questions.

a) Is it a gay movie with cowboy elements or a cowboy movie with gay elements? (I find the former more interesting; my mother the latter.)

b) Is it interesting or, was it overhyped for being controversial and is kind of boring?

If you're like, younger than thirteen, don't bother responding to the second question, and you shouldn't be watching rated R movies in the first place.

I highly reccomend it.

To answer the question about what kind of movie it is...

It's a love story with cowboy elements that happens to be between two gay men.

I guess of your choices...it's more of a gay movie. About the lifestyle and how they had to keep things hidden and what it did to their lives, and the lives of their wives and children.

Very good, very tragic, bring tissue.

How does everyone feel about PCPA Theatrefest... That is one of the schools I am considering auditioning for, however it's only two years and I don't want it to be my downfall as an actor... any opinions would be appreciated. or ideas of rarely done monologues for guys around the age of 18, and a piece of music from a show that hardly anyone has heard of...

It really is a beautiful movie. Like Tasha said, very tragic in its overall theme. A lot of people in the world were able to relate to it, knowing what it's like to have to conceal such an integral part of their lives. I don't think it was overhyped that much, the cinemetography really is amazing though. I will admit it was slow in some places, but totally worth it. And I would agree with Tasha, it's a love story, not a cowboy story. It's your typical love story only between two unexpected lovers. If you're mom is comfortable watching it, I say go for it.

I'm back again!

And I think Bill Nighy is fantabulous...

and I wonder if there's anything I have missed that I absolutely have to go back and read? Any new discussions on the Wicked board or crazy stuff in GD or whatever?

But school starts Tuesday so I'll be busy again. Figures. I'll be able to go on here, though.

I have SO MANY BOOKS I want to read. I have a Dave Eggers book and an Italo Calvino book and a Wally Lamb book and a Bill Bryson book and a Christopher Buckley book; I have Kite Runner and Sophie's World and I WANT TO READ THEM ALL! *is sad*

I'm going back through Wicked, though, and I've seen some things I don't think we've discussed much. I'm not far, though. They've just gotten to where they're meeting with the Wizard.

Anyway. I have to go clean my room. Bye.

Another question. I'm looking to get in shape, and I'm like, the worst deticated person in that respect, so my mother and I are looking into martial arts programs. (Paying for something = no quitting haha)

So question: Do any of you guys study martial arts? Which style do you prefer?

We are leaning towards Jujitsu (my idea) and Krav Maga, which is Israeli, so you know it's going to be good.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Missnikki's back!

Martial arts, I don't know a whole lot about. My sister takes Tae Kwon Do, which is a Korean martial art. It means "Way of the hand and foot." It's mostly kicking with a little punching and such. I think you do a lot of pushups and situps. Fun stuff. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Rather than rush into a martial art that is popular or just sounds alluring, you should do a lot of research into different systems and styles. Choose the martial art that is best suited to your goals, personality, and body type.

aww man, *puts away chopping block and black belts* ahh well, maybe another time.

Oh, so I was walking out of my friend's skating practice with her and we were commenting how everyone has either taken Ballet, for like a week, then you took Gymnastics for a day, then you did that season of soccer - and you either drop it or stick with it. I don't know why I am saying this.. but I feel like it.
