I love Sarah Mclachlan too. I saw her at Lilith Fair five years ago. With the Indigo Girls of course. It was a great concert.

Here's the Amazon link to buy the album. (wasn't sure if you were serious about wanting it or not, heehee)
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000002VN7

I'm almost sure you can find it in the UK, though. Just take a look around. I absolutely love her music. Very "mellowee" and "chillaxing". ~_^

I said that I loved Sister Act, but that's okay. What's up with that? You don't even know who I am Holmes?

If you get that album...check out the song "Elsewhere". It's really good. That album is my favorite one of hers. That and Mirrorball.

Ok, so, here goes. I got my first boyfriend back in October. It was pretty cool, I mean, a lot of girls had "boyfriends" in like 6th grade and stuff, but here I was in high school getting my first. So we went out blah blah you know the drill. First kiss kind of sucked, but I wasn't worried about that. I'm not a make-out kind of girl, (unless I really, really, really like them I guess. Haven't made out yet) but it seemed he wasn't a make out kind of guy, so that was good. I dragged him to Rent, he loved it, even though he didn't like musicals. He bought me the soundtrack after he was busy for a while and we couldn't hang out. I'm not for pity gifts, but it was a surprise. So, I liked him, and I could forgive his hubris and cockyness, and for all that calling himself smarter than the teachers, he couldn't spell for crap online. But I looked past it. Because I liked him, right? So I go on a trip to New York, on the 13th, and I get back, check my e-mail. And there's an e-mail form him. Good, I wanted to see him because it's been a while! Some bad typing etc. Blah blah... I'm breaking up with you. Not stated quite like that, but yeah that's the gist. Now, I'll admit that I wasn't too sad about him breaking up with me. But he did it by e-mail. And the day before our six month anniversary. And by e-mail! And spelled incorrectly! The whole e-mail, he didn't even care enough to spell check the damned thing! And then he blocked me. Am I ten? Do I need to be blocked on AIM because he's scared of me the way he handled things?

My question: does anyone think that what he did was totally immature, stupid, etc.? Because I do.

Thanks

I've been broken up via an email.. but I didn't really care because I guess I didn't really like the guy...

When my ex, Johnny broke up with me.. he did it on MYSPACE. Yes.. MYSPACE. For stupid reasons (not why he broke up with me but why he chose myspace.)

Is it immature? In some cases yes. Some people are afraid to do that sort of thing face to face. I've only broken up with some one once and it was over an IM (granted I was 3 hours away at school.) It's kinda childish for him to block you for no reason. There are a lot of cases where you can break up with some one but still remain friends (ie: me and Johnny)

Sorry to hear about this all... *hugs* if he's going to act that way then you will ultimately be better off and happier with out him...

No, you are definitely not wrong in thinking he was immature, and handled the situation badly!

Some guys are just losers, and they don't really know any better. They don't know how to treat others because they're totally selfish.
He seems kind of ignorant in the ways of "romance".

Six months is a farely long time for a highschool relationship, so I could understand if you are still having some feelings toward him.
But just try your hardest to focus on the possitive things around you (friends, bestfriends, GM Board friends, Wicked, 'happy music') and things will turn around. Don't worry!

I'll be thinking about you, and hope everything turns out okay! ~_^

Thanks you guys. *hugs* I think I didn't like him too much because I wasn't really sad when he broke up with me, just surprised and mad that he didn't respect me enough to break up in person. I'm thinking me being indifferent about the break-up is solidifying my suspicions of my sexuality. Which is a whole other puzzle, though not nessicarily a bad one, just confusifying.

Good Luck Acey!

About The Show
Judy Garland's latest comeback: a podcast. As written, performed and produced by ONE fellow in his 20s, join Judy (Frances Gumm), co-host Roger Darling, and their guests, as they scrutinize popular culture - both past and present - sharing interviews, stories and songs in this podcast tribute to the greatest entertainer of the 20th century.

I personally recomend show #10... it had me in stitches!
My brother sent an e-mail requesting Judy to sing anything from Wicked the musical...They answered him: we are seriously considering it.

My mom is leaving my dad and is moving to Missouri to be with a guy she met. She said I could move with her.
It's so tempting. There isn't anything for me here aside from family. But they'll be my family no matter what. I'm dropping out of school basically. My job sucks. I'm not happy here. I'm afraid of my dad being upset with me and hating me.

Anyone here been to Missouri and know what it's like?

Heath - Two things. One, you are wonderful. Everybody loves you. Two, I'm totally checking out that music. Well, when I get back to the States. But...yes. I like it. Lots.

Acey - Break a leg at your callbacks! Or, I hope you...um...broke one? I don't know the time difference between there and here. But...yes.

PaN - UAW Cat smiles for you. Because they're big big big smiles. (I can't give hugs. That's Heath's job. *grins*)

Helen - are you serious? That's awful.

jerseyminx - I know nothing at all about Missouri. If there's nothing keeping you where you are (maybe...Jersey *grins*), is there anything drawing you to Missouri? Just getting away from where you are?

Sarah Maclachlan is pretty popular here in China, actually. One of my mom's students, who loves western music, has a whole bunch of her stuff, and several people I know have heard of her. /random

That's Awesome! I absolutely love Judy Garland. I haven't had time to watch any of them yet but I will when I get the chance later today. That makes me randy.

jerseyminx I have a friend who moved to VA from Missouri but she doesn't talk about it much so I guess I can't help you there. All I can say is something cheesy like this: Follow your heart and do what you think is best. I Hope things are better for you soon.

Helen, that really, really sucks. If you take it again this summer can you still graduate? Can you get a tutor?

It's that time again boys and girls. Time to put your hands together for the amazing, marvelous, wonderful...

YAY! Only one more day till the weekend. I can already feel 1.5 times better than I felt yesterday. maybe because I finally ate something after a 48 hour fast... =/

And starting next week, I'll be attending councelling sessions to try and take away my gayness.................
and mom will be screening my phone calls....

But you know what? I'm going to take it as it comes and try my HARDEST not to let it get me down. It'll be hard. and I'm sure there'll be days when I just wanna cry my eyes out. But I'll rise above this! I have to...otherwise what's the point in even living if you can't be happy?

Thank you to everyone yesterday for sending your love. It was greatly appreciated!

SPECIAL thanks to PaN, and Acey!!!

and I'm sorry for bringing personal drama into the forum. I know that was kind of against the rules......... =/

If anyone EVER needs anything! I'm especially good at giving hugs. OH, and sharing Ice Cream. Also, I'm apprently good at snogging ^_~

Thank you so much!

and I don't think I want to change...
and the thing is, I don't think I could change if I wanted to.
I tried explaining to my mother that I don't have a choice in the fact that I'm attracted to guys...and not girls...
and she said that If I really had faith in God, then God would change that.

sooo...It's putting me in a REALLY confused place

Hey Heath, if you don't mind me asking what denomination are your parents? If I'm being too nosey please let me know. I'm sorry that you are going through that. It is hard enough dealing with sexuality yourself when you realize you are not straight, let alone having parents who feel the way yours do. I hope it gets better for you soon.

They're Southern Baptist Christians...
So there are a lot of things they "disagree" with, not just homosexuality. But homosexuality is definitely the biggest issue for them.

Thank you for your concern!

Mine are Baptist too but they're not strict about it whatsover. They don't even go to church anymore except maybe once in a while on Christmas Eve. I guess I'm fortunate because while they have many other issues with it, they don't believe I have a choice in the matter. Maybe your parents will change their tune in the future. But you have a great outlook about it all and that will help you more than you might even realize.

AWWW! I think you'd like the new song I wrote even better. The music is very evanescencey...? But the lyrics aren't as dramaticly depressing.

Once we get our EP packaged...Maybe I can send you a copy. The EP album is titled "Light". ^_^
It should be finished within the next two months. It has seven songs on it.

Wait. How'd I get the information that I'm a good "snogger"? by my last snogging partner, of course...heehee. (hhmmmm *sigh* I miss those lips)

Haha, fun times!

I would LOVE a copy of the new EP! (Notice the capitals) L-O-V-E! Are you guys charging for them? Obviously I don't want to just receive one without paying for it. A band has to make money somehow!

Oh Heath... i seriously need to stop reading your posts, you've made me cry twice in as many days! Come here, come and live in England, you can fancy who ever you like here and no one batts an eyelid. It's great. *gasps* My parents could adopt you! That would be fun, they could have two gay sons and i would have a brother that can form a sentance, all they need is half a dozen lesbians and a transexual and they've got the whole set!

My thoughts are with you Heath, as always, (i bought Fumbling for Ecstasy today, it's gorgeous, spesh Ice Cream)

I also love the word snogging! I didn't realised you lot - Americans - had picked up on that. Coolio.

*huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs*

And emotional trauma is not against the rules here, at all, it makes me feel normal, for the first time in my life!

Great news anyone? Go on then. Had my recall for a certain absolutely gorgeous drama school in Kent today, and i don't know officially yet but i have SO got in, the bloody love me. They love me they love me they love me. To the point where one of the tutors who took our morning impro workshop barged in the room and told the panel that she was going to watch my speeches! YAY! That is all. I've so got in. They love me. I love them. Cross fingers and touch wood everyone!

Haha, a brother with whom you unabashedly flirt!

Anywho, CONGRATS!!! I knew you'd knock their socks off. You're so fantabulous, who wouldn't want you!
