I think women who don't show everything are much hotter. I mean, where's the intrigue?

I just saw the last showing of Les Miserables before it goes back on Broadway Sunday night. The very, very last performance. I was so pumped. I cried alot. It was so amazing and all the actors gave it there best! I think I'm still crying! Also I have 15 playbills as memories, so many people just leave them in the floor.

oh hah. I have a funny story about Les Miserables.

So my parents (sadly, before I was born, drat!) went up to N.Y. and my grandfather bought them tickets to see Les Miserables on Broadway. They got there and they were waiting for it to start and it did. Then the turntable stopped.

Anyone who has seen the show, knows that the turn-table is a huge part of the show.

So the people came up after a while and said "we're having some difficulties, anyone who wants to stay, can, we'll start again in about an hour, anyone else can go and you can get your money back."

no one moved.

They sat there for an hour and finally it started - now this show is pretty long aboout 2 hours and 30 minutes I think - so needless to say it was a pretty amazing show because at the end the actors were clapping for the audience.

I'm being hysterical at the moment. and very out of it. goodnight.

I tend to have dyslexic (sp?) speech. Like I was reading some Friedrich Nietzsche out loud one time (I'm a philosophy minor, so it makes sense, yeah?) and instead of saying Alexander I said Axelander...then Axelmander. And I'll switch words around...

I think I could too. Just minor though. The biggest one is when they have EXIT signs, I usually sit there and stare and it keeps saying TIXE.

I could very well put this on the 'rants & raves' thread, but this may be too long for that.

Anyway..

Has anyone seen this really obnoxious Dunkin' Donuts commercial for their smoothies? It has a bunch of different kids sitting in a car and they describe where they're going. They say stuff like 'swimming', 'soccer', ballet', 'oboe'...and then it says 'and last but not least...' and shows the mother driving the car and she suddenly screams 'KARATEEEEEEE!' Man, it's stupid. And I'll have you know that I tried one of those smoothies before I even saw that commercial and it was gross. It was warm, and wasn't even mixed well. The yogurt was all congealed on the side of the cup. Gross.

I'm bored and groggy. I feel like this:

Ha. Cute pic. I feel the very same way. No surprise there.

And yes, I hate that commercial as well. Along with their other annoying commercial where they sing that stupid song, I won't even go through the words because then it will be stuck in my head and that's the last thing I want right now.

But I had two different smoothies and they aren't that bad. The strawberry banana wasn't very good, but the mango passion fruit was okay. I still have to try the wildberry, though.

Just want to make sure about email... I haven't seen another one in return, I'm wondering if this yahoo thing isn't working properly...?

PaN, I'm going to try later when I'm at home if I get a chance. Maybe I need to send it to another yahoo address for it to work?

Ta-Da!

Gotta love a boyfriend who works in a shoe store and gets designer shoes for beans, and had great taste to boot! (no pun intended)

Hey, trust me, I never expected it! I just started getting all these great shoes! I have four pairs of that there designer. *giggle* I know I'm completely spoiled. I also have some other top name designers. And don't get me wrong, I'm totally not one of those girls. I love my $3 flip-flops from Old Navy as much as the next girl. And I completely appreciate him buying these for me. It's not everyday that someone buys you designer shoes for next to nothing. I'm just living it up and enjoying it because he's hoping to leave there very soon and that means no more cute shoes for me.

You lucky, lucky girl.

It's probably a good thing my boyfriend doesn't work in a shoe store, or I'd have about 200 pairs!

GAH! I can't type today!

Yea, my collection has grown exponentially since he started there.

But to prove that I'm not all about it, here are the other shoes I have today to walk around in.... my $5 slippers from Chinatown!

Ha, TJ, you know every single one of my friends wishes he'd buy them shoes too. And my mom complained to me one day, that we don't have the same shoe size because she wants to wear everything I own. I'm also now receiving Italian leather handbags, too... I've never been one to have expensive taste, but he does. So, really, I've learned to accept it.

Those are cute. I think they look okay on other people but I don't think I could pull them off. Have you guys ever heard of Jimmy Choo shoes? I googled them one day and I have to say, I don't find them to be that great.

For the price...no, Jimmy Choos aren't that great. I never thought so. That isn't to say I wouldn't buy them if I were rich enough to afford a pair. Just to say I owned a pair of Jimmy Choos...but I'd be too scared to wear them.

Yeah, Jimmy Choo shoes are overrated. I want a pair of Stuart Weitzman's. I also think Manolo's are completely overrated. Way too much money for a shoe. Sometimes that's how I feel about the ones that even I own.

i'm having a really hard time with he job hunt. i'm having touble getting motivated to actually start puching myself to apply to more places. i think i may have to start off with any job at all (cashier or something). but i would just feel so unsuccessful having a job like that after i spent 3 years at college. but whatever brings in the dough, right?

i also have to find myself a doctor and a dentist and some driving lessons (again).

ugh, too much to do.

I know how that feels. You get your sights set on one kind of work, and then don't get it. It's upsetting. I did the whole apply anywhere thing...got hired at a place I didn't want to be at in the first place. I quit after 2 weeks. Not that I minded the people/customers, they rocked (3rd shift at a restaurant, lots of drunks/stoners/kids), but the job just made me so miserable that I wanted to throw up every night before work.

Ah, Helen. I feel for ya.

I'm going to be perfectly honest with you. Job hunting sucks. People will lead you on, bullsh*t you, and make you feel confident about getting hired. Sometimes you'll never hear from them again. However, there's nothing wrong with taking on a cashier job after college. Lots of grads do that, just to make money until they find something more stable. Many of my friends are working in a field that is unrelated to what they went to school for. I majored in Communications with a Minor in Journalism and I hardly use it at all with my job. The key is not to be picky! Don't settle, but don't set your standards too high.

I hope I didn't sound harsh. I just wanted to let you know that you're not alone! It's hard to search for jobs day in and day out because it's frustrating. But it'll happen.

Anyways:
Helen that sucks.

ah shoes. Blah. I couldn't care less really. although, I do want to redeem a pair of 'Elphie' black boots. I had a pair that I wore, every day, for 9 months. Then they died. Did I mention they were only $11.99? Yeah...
