I believe, Helen, that you have hit the nail on the head. If you read up a couple of posts, I thinkt that's what the director was going for. To make us think that Spider-Man is actually the one in the black suit, however, it's not, it's Venom, but they may have wanted someone with the very same body type, and look about him, to throw us off...

The Mariners game last night was fantastic.

The book I'm reading now (If on a winter's night a traveler, which lacks capitals on the front, back, and pages of the book) is fantastic.

The other book I'm reading now (Anna Karenina) is fantastic, though not quite as fantastic.

The other book I'm reading now (Freakonomics) is fantastic, but the fact that I don't own it is not fantastic.

The other book I'm reading now (Hogfather) is fantastic because it's funny, but I'm just reading too much right now and I will have to wait and start it over to really get its fantasticness.

The fact that I'm reading all these books at once is annoying.

The fact that Barnes & Noble didn't have the other book I wanted, which came out, well, today, is not fantastic.

Another random yesterday-or-something rant...

the worst thing parents do to their kids - well, probably not the worst, but the one that was annoying me yesterday - is they kill their attention spans. Parents buy children toys that flash and blink and they put them in front of TV shows with ten-second cuts and they never bother to read them a freaking book. *dies*

So, I just looked at the website for the community theatre group up where I go to school...

They're doing the play I did the spring of my Junior year in high school! I find that funny. Maybe I'll get to do the show twice, it'd be worth it. The show is The Odd Couple (female version).

Crazy world.

I was reading Anna Karenina. It's interesting, but I'm only on around page 110 and it's already a love hexagon! Then I put it down to read fast-reads (like GM's books, James Patterson's books, and, my guilty pleasure...romance novels).

Also, very Breakfast Club!

So, I'm bored...and I just thought about some of my writing.

I have three stories on a website I made. It would totally kick patooty if you'd read them and leave feedback. But don't pay any attention to the email address on the homepage...I got rid of that one ages ago. Either respond here, or email me at: janeys81387@yahoo.com

Nice quote.

Well, going on this theory, WW3 would have to be fought with words.

"Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me."

Words won't hurt after WW3 because we'll have built up an immunity/defense *beams*

SoulPatrol, I know you prob can't watch this at work, and your dial up may prevent at home... but you really have to see this....

ETA: There is sound, so if you choose to try to get away with it at work... just know that. Haha.

Eh... it might be. There's a good deal of swearing. But you definitely have to be able to hear it and not just see it. It won't make much sense if all you're doing it watching and not hearing. You should try to get headphones into work!! Then you'd be able to listen to all these crazy things with no problems!! *evil laugh*

I just found out that I can't access the Victoria's Secret website from work because it's a 'forbidden' site. I just like their 'Pink' line! It's cute even though it's for people 5 years younger than me!

You know, I'm just thinking about this... does it disturb anyone else that Victoria's Secret is now targeting younger people to shop in their stores? I mean, if you look in the catalogs, the women that are modeling the Pink line are just that... women. They aren't little kids. But younger girls get drawn to the fun, funky colors, and bright patterns, and just altogether innocent feel to them. Then once they've got the kids in their store, they get swallowed and end up buying all this lingerie that (no offense girls) 13- and 14-year-olds shouldn't be wearing. It depresses me. I ran into my little cousin at the mall one day, a few years back. She was prob 14 at the time, and she was hanging out in front of VS with the notorious pink bag in her hand. I asked her what she bought (because we are close) and she showed me all these lacy, minimal thongs... I was instantly saddened and kind of disgusted.

Yeah, it is very sad. You know what's even more sad? The reasons half these girls are buying thongs. This is the reason I bought my first one...No Panty Lines! Because heaven forbid someone be able to see the lines of your panties. But it's perfectly ok for 1-2 inches of it to be hanging out the top of your way-too-low-cut jeans. And don't even get me started on the micro-mini skirts...

No, I agree with you PaN. In fact I was listening to the radio this morning, and this exact topic was being discussed.

According to Victoria's Secret, the 'Pink' line is meant for college-aged girls. But younger girls want to buy it so they feel cool. Everyone else they know wears it, so they feel the peer pressure. If I had an 11-14 year old daughter and she wanted to shop from that store, I'd be hesitant at first and say no. But if she's willing to compromise I'd allow her to pick out some reasonable items from that line of clothing. No thongs! My sister is fifteen and she only buys the pj pants and boy briefs. My mom refuses to let her buy anything else. At least the 'Pink' line is more innocent because they have fun colors and cute patterns, like dolphins and dogs. But I do think its sad that younger girls want to shop there to begin with.
