Haha! I just find this message funny because it's so random. But then again, that's what this thread is for.

Hi, Twyz!

So, I heard an awesome song on the radio yesterday on the way home. It's called 'Dark Blue' by Jack's Mannequin. Has anyone heard it? Or heard of the band? This is the first I've heard of them and I love this song! I got it off of iTunes as soon s I got home. It's just so pretty and happy

And yes, I just switched discussed three different topics in one post. I'm rambling.

BOO-YAH!

Jack's Mannequin is the guy from SoCo's (Something Corporate) other band. Which means they already rock. Another good song by them is "The Mixed Tape" which was really their first "hit". It wasn't a huge hit, but it was on the popular radio stations over here enough.

I'm not too worried about Spears. She hasn't retired from the business, but other than the white trash aspects of her life, what have you heard about her lately?

I just need a hoodie that doesn't say "Red Sox" or "Reverse the Curse" on it. *sigh* But I'm way too cheap to spend 30 bucks on a piece of clothing.

Hold the phone... Did SoCo break up? Or are they just doing other things on top of their stuff? And I didn't know he started a new band too... I'll have to look into that!

But anyway.. hell yeah for SoCo! I was just listening to them on my way home!
"She's saying 'Hey now, the straw dog's out in the street. Hey now, there's chemicals in the clouds. Hey now, they're calling all the police, and they won't get to us, anyhow!'"

Hehe.

And as far as this hoodie goes... people, believe me. You would not want this hoodie. It's not really what you think of when you say "hoodie". It's from some stupid women's wear place, and it's ugly as sin, and just... not nice looking at all.

PaN, I challenge you to post a picture of this hoodie! You can cover up the name of your workplace if you want, but I find it essential to see this horrific brightly-colored monster.

Does it perhaps look like this?!:

Ahhh SO! I don't have the hoodie with me now! It's at the office, I leave it there all the time because I don't want to bring it into my house, or be seen carrying it on the way home. Hahahaha! But no, it doesn't look like that. It's zip-up for one, and it's really lightweight, and it has these mesh panels down the arms and sides of the body in a darker green.... yeah... hideous. I'll def take a pic on Monday.

Helen! Well, maybe PN hasn't started there yet? It only just started this past week here, and i remember that you guys weren't showing the finale when it was shown here, so maybe you haven't missed it yet. And like someone else here said, there are enough reruns of that damned show, you'll be able to catch up in no time. Now, though, as for "So you think you can dance" you have have have to see Ivan and Alison's dance from this past week. I can't stop watching this video of it. It was just abso-friggen-lutely BEE-EE-AY-YOU-TIFUL! I know you prob won't be able to watch right now, but for when you can......

Nevermind. I was going to send you a link to watch it... but they took it off the site it was on due to copyright violations. Dammit!!

During the hiatus, Partington formed the band Firescape and recorded the five song EP Rearden's Conscience in 2005. McMahon, on the other hand, released a solo album Everything in Transit under the name Jack's Mannequin on August 23, 2005, a more piano-focused album that includes Mötley Crüe's Tommy Lee on percussion on seven out of the eleven songs."

Andrew McMahon was also diagnosed with lukemia, which may have affected the band, but he's in remission, anyway.

I'm dying for the next SoCo cd. Jack's Mannequin is good and all, but it's no Something Corporate.

*falls asleep on keyboard.*

So, I'm in nationals for soccer. 5:30 wake up calls, soccer for 4 hours at a time, and I'm fighting off a cold. We've lost 4/5 games. We've played 4 games... we scored 1 goal, on a penalty shot. basically: that's. not. good.

Anyways, uhm, we played people from Kansas, L.A, Chino C.A, and Michigan...
so far, we've yet to play the people from Hawaii...

I'm tired.

oh! because the stupid people at the school locked up the prop closet I have to bring in tap shoes, a garbage can, an apron, a poetry book, and a table cloth..

Ooh, well I had heard about Andrew being diagnosed. It was so sad... But I never knew about the rest! THanks for the update. I'm definitely going to look into it now though. I love when music is more piano based, but I must say.... I'm not a fan of Tommy Lee. However, he has merit as a drummer... so I will give it a chance.

I'm BACK! I'm not going to be able to read all the threads I missed, obviously, but I think I'm getting internet back in my house tomorrow. Peter, I want to see the hoodie. I watched the end of the world thing. It made me smile. But I've only read to there and the last page on this thread, and I'm glancing over a couple other things but I have to leave soon.

Being back here already feels normal, until I see a plane fly over my head and say, hey, I was on one of those. This world is completely different. I've already bumped into about five people without thinking and then just remembered to apologize...and I keep forgetting my seatbelts.

People that haven't been around more than a month - I'm Missnikkaphon, and I'm not in China anymore, so there's my interesting introduction out the window.

Anyway...slugs and hisses, me.

So I was challenged... Here is what that awful green hoodie looks like. (Excuse the post-it, I just didn't want to show my company's name/logo.) And sorry, the colors really aren't shown to their full potential, my camera phone isn't the best. I'll try to remember to bring it home and take a pic with my digital camera to give you all a better idea of it's hideousness.

Those darker green panels down the side.... yeah... those are mesh. And it's funny because when they were given to us, we were told that they were "dressy" jackets. I laughed. I keep it balled up in my filing cabinet. I just can't even stand looking at it.
