I'm going to see 'Wicked' tomorrow. Now I can join in on all of the musical-related topics! I also plan to bring lots of cash, so I can buy lots of loot.

I love cash that allows me to purchase loot.

For some odd reason, I just pictured Martha Stewart saying that. I think it was the "it's a good thing" that did it.

Where the heck is everyone?! I'm so BORED. There's nothing to do at work, and this place is my source of entertainment but no one's here!

I hear crickets in the background...

Question....

Has anyone read a book called 'Running with Scissors'? It recently caught my attention and I was thinking of reading it after the two and a half other books I plan to read.

hello! i am back from disappearing for 4 days with no explanation! poof!

so whats up? i see that EBitch posted ONCE...thats great. how. exciting.

so this week is going to be CRAZY for me! my boyfriend ( ) is coming down to see me, and also to help load the moving truck with our furniture, because.....AHH! we move in together THIS WEEKEND!!! i am so excited! no more waiting for weeks or months at a time to have....fun. and we get to see each other all the time!

but its scary also, you know? its a big step. life starts now. any words or wisdom or comfort?

we got 4 fish for the outdoor pond in out yard this week. 3 small godfish and one big one. the big one got caught in the pump, and now his tail is all ripped up. it was a very sad moment..really. i felt so bad for him. dont worry though, he has learned to swim again, and he will not die (we were afriad he might die because of it). all is well.

WOW! Helen that's so great! You're one lucky chic! That's seriously, really awesome!

Hmm... don't get runover by anything on the way down there.

Oh I have a quote! UnexaminedLife, Scarecrow and a few others know what this is:

"When I moved up here it was my wife and me in our old beat up Saab with a 5 by 8 U-Haul, dragging our asses through the mountains of North Carolina with a “New York or Bust” sign in the back window. We laugh about it now. We scraped the bottom of the car in the Blue Ridge Mountains and were stranded." Have fun moving!!

Oh, and HAPPY FOURTH! My fourth was awesome, I've never been so close to fireworks - I head like 15 car alarms go off - no joke! and food, don't forget about the food.

I have to say... my 4th of July absolutely sucked this year. Whose idea was it to throw a national holiday into the middle of a week?! On a TUESDAY no less?! Yoga had to be canceled for that? It sucked. Did nothing exciting unlike last year when I visited my boyfriend and we tried to park somewhere inconspicuous to have some *fireworks* of our own and ended up getting his car stuck in the mud behind a dumpster at a skating rink parking lot. Tried pushing it out, standing up to our calves in mud. Tried driving it out and covering the entire interior with mud. Then he finally was able to get his friend to come down and hook up the winch to pull us out. Yeah that was fun...

Personally, I think the US flag is ugly. Nothing against the country or anything. At least, not in this particularness. It's just plain ugly. I think the country should have adopted the Confederate flag after the Civil War as a small apology for the overrun of a fledling country. But that's just me.

it's also got the same colors - I mean could we be original with SOMETHING!?

we stole our country's name from a mapmaker.

EDITED FOR STUPIDITY
my stupid bush quote of the day: (sorry to all republicans here!)

"The question is rarely asked: is our children learning?"

also - WHAT IS the name of our flag?!

Saint A. there are a lot of flags that are red, white, and blue that were originally british colonies.

I saw somewhere that the originial idea for the US flag was the stripes as they are, and in the corner the Union Jack. It was much harder on the eyes.

Generally speaking I don't think any flag is really 'beautiful' though.

The South African flag is pretty striking. I quite like the Nepalese flag too. The only ones who were bold enough to reject the rectangle!

Apparently not. Don't get me started. I can go on and on and on...

Oh, but let me mention: the tune of our national anthem? Yeah. An old English drinking song. Not even kidding. I like "O Canada" though. Lovely. But I am not going to get started...

yay Pan!

Okay, this is weird. I just had a straight moment. I don't know if I just have to take a bit of time to get out of the straight frame of mind that I had been in for fourteen years, but ooh I will be so excited if I'm bisexual. (Does that sound weird? Yeah.)

Anyway, I think I might be attracted to my brother's bands new lead singer. He's in my class, but I hadn't met ihm until last night. Then again, it could just be that he's cute and he can sing, and I just appriciate that. Of course, his ex-girlfriend is the first girl I had a crush on. hah.

So I have no idea if he's just cool or if I might like him. I don't like him yet, but I think I could in the future, which is what is raising these questions.

On the other hand, he smokes, and he might smoke pot. What the hell? He's like 16, ew. He's going to die soooo early.

Your flag designed by one, your first President one... the list is very long.

The first president actually born in the USA was... Martin Van Buren. The 8th president.

But unless I'm mistaken (and I very well could be, USI was a long time ago) Francis Scott Key was truly British meaning he was in a prisoner during the war of 1812 (again I believe this is correct.)

*edit*
Ok so I was way off.. Key wasn't British. But it WAS during the War of 1812 that he wrote the poem that the anthem was based from. Greenery I apologize.

We celebrated it on the beach (Mexico Beach...about 30 minutes away from Panama City Beach). Alas...I didn't drink any beer, knowing that I had to drive home afterwards, I wanted to stay on the safe side. ~_^

i forget who said it but....dont act like if you posted those flags that you wouldn't have made the american one bigger than the canadian one! anyway, it was not intentional, it just ended up being the size of the pictures that i found on the internet.

also, i forget who said it, but there are SO many beautiful flags!!
just a few ...(in my opinion)
