it takes me 15 minutes to straighten my hair, if even... what kind of straightener do you use? i use the conair (sp?) ceramic straightener, the fat one not the skinny one, and i have this special conditioner that makes it not frizzy. i do it everyday because it is just so easy but yeah i know what you guys mean. Last year in school i always wore my hair up because it took like two hours but this summer i got my new straightener and.. yeah. i think i'll shut up now.

I totally agree with the whole straightening the hair thing. I don't have very thick hair, but it's pretty curly and it's just really annoying sometimes. It takes me about 30-35 minutes to straighten with a straightening iron, and it looks really nice afterwards, but it just takes up too much time, so I really have to be in the mood to do it. And I won't even bother in the summer because the humidity just puffs it up....I would love to have straight hair. You wash it, brush through it, and voila!......sigh.....

The pics are great. You guys are YOUNG. I have good hair, I just cut about 14 inches off and donated it to Locks of Love. Don't have a picture yet. I am living in the stone age and don't have a digital camera. There's one on my cell but I have no idea how to get the pics from the cell to the computer.

What a coincidence, Toto! I just cut off a good deal of my hair for donation. It used to lay all the way down my back, and now, at its longest part, it just brushes my shoulders. I wore it long for years and years, but I'm very fond of my new look. Change is good.

That is the same with me. I felt naked when it was cut even though it is a little past my shoulders. I only say I donated it because it makes it easier to lose. My hair has always been long, but change is good. I am glad I'm not alone.

if you look really closely in the background, you can see my "Defy Gravity" shirt!

oooh. pretty. great to have you here.

I've got stick straight as a pin hair. And it's not as easy as it seems folks. Granted I don't have to straighten it or anything - but it's always a hassle to do something to it. I usually shove it in a bun or something - possibly wear it down to the side - depends....

I would like thick and straight or thin and curly, I guess. Mine is thin and straight and it's fine as long as I want it looking exactly as it is. (It is extremely soft--my friend walked by and, like, patted my head one time and then after she walked past she turned back around to touch it again. And then she called another friend over to touch it too. No joke.) But once it's dry I can't put it up, and it doesn't really like to go up at all. It's totally thin and fine so it won't do anything.

ugg yeah my hairs like reeeaaalllllly thick and it makes it so evil! I like the concept if it being thick, but it makes everything take like forever longer than it does for people with thinner hair. Like everything hair related, not like riding a bike...

well I'll share with you guys some pictures of my nifty little college dorm room. Sorry the pics kind of suck but I took them in a rush with my celly.

This one is a view of my desk and the area above it where I sport all my Beatles and RENT love.

This is next to my bed. If you look closely you see my framed playbills from wicked, rent, and les mis. Also my Brown Bags* are up there too.

This is my desk. Usually if I'm typing anything... or doing anything... this is where I am.

And... last this is my bed complete with hanging disney princess net. Behind the net on the same wall as the window is my tin poster for the Rex Harrison and Audrey Hepburn version of My Fair Lady and to the left of the net on the other wall is my Tin poster of Wizard of Oz but thats hard to see also.

* if you don't know what brownbags are just ask me I'm not sure how many people use the tradition.

also I have a few more cool pics I'll have up soon... like my view from my 8th floor room and a couple cool shots of my bookshelf.

Neat idea, lostladyknight I love your room, although it's way too tidy for my tastes

My desk :P Looking very tidy I must say. That's an animation lightbox, my PC which is constantly broken, and my laptop which isn't, touch wood. Mushu the newt lives in the tank, and yeah, the phone is like... always mysteriously damp XD

...I'm not a tidy person.

My desk at the studio, complete with... I think that's a scene layout on it XD

Oh my goodness gracious, Vim. That had me laughing so incredibly hard. That's about the way that my room looks right now. (What can I say? I really need to clean it.) Anyways, am I mistaken or did it say that there was a goldfish in your drawer...?

LOL there WAS a goldfish in that poorly lit tank on the floor over there, but he died a while ago XD Old picture!

My personal favourite is "obsolete" pointing at an old VHS XD Or maybe 'fallen down curtains'. They fall down constantly, and so does my shower curtain - it's like a plague of falling drapery in my house XD

Okay, this here post is mostly for Acey and MysteriousElphaba (and anyone else who's been following along). Obviously we don't need these anymore seeing how Acey already posted his picture, I just wanted to show I could do it!

Whatstandwell...

Upside-down jar of yeast extract...

and...! Pimlico on a London Bus! (I chose this picture especially for it's musical theatre appreciation!)

Hehe.

*SCREAMS AND POINTS IN UNNECESSARY CAPITALS*

I *love* you Peter! You rock my over flowing with yeast extract gravy boat!

Although you did post the marmite twice, ha, hmmm marmite *has craving*.

Awww, yay. But I haven't got another picture to post, so i can't stick up to my side of the deal proper. Although, i still have yet to see the bus to Pimlico.

Edit: Ah HA! You edited! You sneaky wench. Hooray! Vim should be quaking in her boots with your deftly created computer imagery there. Awww, love it, genius. And Billy Elliot - The Musical, not my cup of tea, hip hop and ballet, bit odd.

Awww, that's made my day! And so i feel obliged to do this...

Only fair, only way i can keep my end of the deal.

Awesome Pan or Peter . That marmite jar was the same one I found last week. So now we have two pictures of Acey looking lost in contemplation...about what I wonder..the complexities of life, what he wants for lunch, or strange women with orange hair.

Hehe. Yes, well I have some amazing computer craftiness if I do say so myself ! Watch out Vim, and Elphaba, and all you other artists out there! Ah, the things I can get away with at work! And yeah, about posting the same picture twice, I don't even know how it happened, it was something with photobucket that it didn't populate the correct link, it copied the other one over until I refreshed the page. Anywho! Glad to make your day, you've made mine as well by posting your handsome self again!

I've never seen or heard of Billy Elliott until someone on here mentioned how much they loved it (EOO perhaps?).

I had fun today! You guys crack me up, I love all of you!

I love reading about how you all straighten your hair daily, because I curl mine and it takes me around 15 minutes to a half an hour to do. I have naturally thick, staight, brown hair. But I curl it almost every morning so that it looks like this
(Please don't laugh. This was taken at a sleepover. What can you say? Girls will be girls.)..

Agreed, you have very nice hair, I always wanted hair like that. I've done so many different things to mine now. When it was straight I tried to curl it like that every now and then, but it never looked that nice. Now it's permed and curly everyday, only... it still doesn't look like that, lol.

If I tilt my head just right, it DOES resemble a fish tank! Would you look at that!

It somehow looked like a drawer on a cabinet rather than a tank the first time I saw it. That's the main reason I was so confused.

At the moment, my room is extremely small. And I share it with my brother. And I sleep on a cot. Because that's what the university gave us.

But I don't have any pictures of my room in the States. (My walls, however, are green.)
