Random pic of the day: Does anyone know what the title is? I found it on a Spanish website devouted to Picasso. And I doon't speak Espanol. IP: Logged |

Saint Aelphaba Moderator |
you could feed it through an online translator? IP: Logged |

I'm afraid I lost the website, I only had the image saved. And the URl has incomrpehendable gibberish, not Spanish. Thanks, though, I hadn't thought of that. IP: Logged |

Thanks Mistress! (I thought you would know) I knew it was something about a mirror, but if you don't enter the exact title, nothing comes up... IP: Logged |

Though the Old Masters are my favorites, I am very fond of Picasso. This is a small-eyed sphinx moth: It is decent-sized, hefty moth. I ran into one in the dead of night once--or, rather, it flew into me--by lantern light, and it was one of the most beautiful creatures I have ever seen. IP: Logged |

Man that is one cool lookin' bug. I once had a trantula climb up my arm, didn't even flinch. It tickled, too. MY picture of the day: my "nice Jewish man I'm going to marry." IP: Logged |

The flower above looks a little like a species of squill (Scilla), but I couldn't be sure. I'd be interested to know. IP: Logged |

Well this topic is completely different to how it started, but I thought I'd just share these pictures of me anyway. I haven't posted them before have I? I can't remember at all, I don't think I have though. This one is me: And this is with my fellow Oz escapees: They were at my college leaving day a few months ago - it was fancy dress and I was just getting obsessed with Wicked! (Which I am seeing on Saturday with Idina, yay!!) (Sorry they're links, but I haven't got a clue how to do it otherwise!) IP: Logged |

*backs away* heh. Amazing picture of the day, curtesy, of Adam Pascal's Website: (Freddy (Adam Pascal's character) is telling Florence (Julia Murney's character) that 'her father's still alive and that they're playing game..' And then SHE'S not sure about how SHE feels about him - and she sings a song about it afterwards.) [This message has been edited by Saint Aelphaba (edited 10-21-2006).] IP: Logged |

Stereograms! "How to view a stereogram" 1. Pick a spot on the picture (the middle seems to work best) and just stare at it. 2. Allow your eyes to relax, don't just stare AT the image, try to stare THROUGH it. You'll notice your eyes will go slightly out of focus. This is normal. 3. Keep staring, don't give up, once you begin to see the first image, it gets much easier. can YOU find the hidden picture in the stereogram above? Cuttlefish are wonderful--but not as pets! Here is an actual cuttlefish. It is saying something to you! I actually own this toy, silly as it is. I bought it at the New England aquarium a couple of years ago, because I was just so tickled by the fact that there exists a stuffed cuttlefish toy. IP: Logged |

quote: People who realize the short-sighted, selfish error of keeping wild animals as pets. Monkeys, wild cats, wolves/wolf-hybrids, bears, sharks, cepholopods--these are animals that should not be kept as pets. Personally, I disapprove of most exotic reptiles, hedgehogs, and all caged birds--with the possible exception of pigeons, since they can be allowed time to fly freely. I have a parakeet, but I did not purchase her, she was dumped on me by an irresponsible acquaintance. [This message has been edited by Mistress Hibbins (edited 10-24-2006).] IP: Logged |

Oh, sorry, I was being facetious. ![]() I just wanted to use the "cuttle-y" pun. Personally, I do not advocate the owner ship of any companion animal unless the said owner is responsible enough to give the animal a good home. Since I had dilligently researched the topic and took all the necessary precautions, I was able to care for an octopus. But, I know many people would not be able to do this. What's also horrible is the conditions these "exotic" animals are put under for sale. I mean, monkeys (and many other animals) don't do well in small captivity. Pet stores these days just want to make a sale, regardless of what of does to the animals. [This message has been edited by Yero the Hero (edited 10-24-2006).] IP: Logged |
