No, I was just implying that I hate how I look in most pictures. But I agree I love this idea. And I'm glad people aren't "concerned" about "identy theft" or any thing like that. Its good to know we trust each other. And I love having a face to go along with Vim, and all of you really! I didn't picture some like the way they look, and others I did. Oh Wow, identity theft, I never thought of that. I hope that wouldn't be an issue. I think and hope you guys are trustworthy, but that's all we have is hope... Anyway, I agree I did not picture some of you all as the way you really are. I'm am sure you didn't picture me the way I am, and I am curious to know what you did picture me to look like. But, that's what makes it great. It makes it more personal. You can now put a face with a personality(internet personality that is). As far as "identity theft" goes... As I've said a hundred times before, I've been on the internet for over 8 years and have chatted with people from all over the world. I've met friends from Australia, the Netherlands, Ireland, England, New York, and Seattle. I've met quite a few weirdos and have my share of internet stalkers (that didn't live anywhere near me, so no problems). I've never revealed where I work or any other form of how people could get ahold of me. I just don't trust people unless we've communicated either on the phone or sent something to each other snail mail. (Which is a lot of fun, it makes people real.) I've never had any problems with being friendly with people online and sharing my picture. I *HAVE* however, had perfect strangers recognize me from my pictures on the internet, which is why I don't give out my first name. It's on my email, so obviously you'll get it if I email you. However, for the most part, if someone asks my name, I just ask them to call me buttercup. If they don't like it, they can go chat with someone else. (Those that get irrate about not getting your first name are the ones to stay far away from anyway.) EOO, is it irate or irrate? I don't do double letter very well. IP: Logged |

Buttercup, It's "irate," just in case you haven't looked it up yet. And don't worry, six feet isn't "freakishly tall!" I wish that I had some height myself, but alas, I am quite short. Your portrait looks lovely, by the way. Speaking of internet safety, that's the reason why I think I'll refrain from posting any actual pictures of myself. I'm a fairly private person to begin with, and though almost everyone here seems very nice, one never knows who one might encounter. I just wouldn't feel comfortable if a total stranger recognized me from a picture on the internet. So, I'll keep everyone guessing as to what I look like. IP: Logged |

I have been online for nearly 10 years & never had a problem with a picture being online. After my son died, pictures of us were all over the place due to media coverage, so I got kind of used to it. IP: Logged |

I was walking to work this morning and for some unknown reason thought of some old old pictures of me that are still online. (A friend posted it for me about 8 years ago.) I think you guys would get a kick out of seeing what I looked like when I was YOUR age. (Most of your ages anyway.) Aw Buttercup! Thanks for the pictures. Well... I'm not going to be rude. But I did get a kick out of those pictures... if you want, my mom has at least 14 years of halloween costume pictures. Anyone interested in maybe creating a yahoo group where we can put all our information in one place? (screenname, age, gender, location, picture... but not names, that's only for the priviledged) Anyway, been thinking about starting one and inviting the regular posters to join. Um, making it one that's invite only, so only members can see other member's information. Trying to figure out how to collect all the info on people, but keep it safe for all of us. IP: Logged |

I have always wanted to send in an email, perhaps to ask for a personalized TGS comic strip. I used to check weekly too, but they are so busy, it is updated only about twice a month. I would want a shirt that said "MSG'D!" Good stuff right there.  Marzipan DOES resemble Nessa! I have to tell all my Wicked loving friends!
