Barry Humphries is a genius, and I imagine, rather a bitter man, but i don't know, shall have to read up... interesting how the funny ones are always the dark ones though.

I have a friend who is a fringe-alternative-comedy nut, and he showed me one of Edna's first gigs in London at some club in the sixties i think, it was great, she had a song that went:

"Spunk! Spunk!
Spunk! Spunk!
Spunk, spunk, spunk!
Spunk! Spunk!
Spu... audience laugh

No, no no, don't, don't lower the tone."

Actually, "The New World" also puts John Smith and Pocahontas in a romantic relationship. It's kind of a slow-moving film, but sort of good if you like love triangles (Smith-Pocahontas-Rolfe). It's actually more of a love story than a historical movie about Jamestown though, which rather surprised me. Somewhat like Disney, it also takes romantic liberties with the Pocahontas-John Smith relationship. It's a beautiful film though and can be fairly emotionally moving at times.

i'm thinking that because this thread is for pictures, that every time i am on the boards, i will post a picture in this thread. sort of "the-picture-of-the-day-when-i-can-get-on-the-boards". what do you think? i feel as though there should be at least one picture on every page of this thread.
maybe we can even have some more fun with it. we can post random pictures and whoever feels like it, can submit thier idea for a funny caption to go along with it.

so! first picture!! (going along with the current theme of the thread)

submit your captions!!

She looks like she's about to say 'because I'm worth it' the way she's tossing her hair. I was going to go for some filthy innuendo along the lines of dirty old Colin Farrell saying he'd like to Poke-a-hontas, or Sack her gee-wa, or see her Mini ha-ha, but this is a nice, clean board, andso I won't. We haven't all been totally corrupted by the 'Carry On' vibe of late...

Ah I use Pictureit! I have different textures I use, and fix the canvas, but normally it's the size I want.

I grab some images, resize them, recolor them, add some transparency, tilt them or contort them... and then I add some text, maybe add some shading... and voila!

**By the way, EVERYtime I look at that paticlar collage it gives me chills, I love it to death. Lucy rocks my socks. - she's the one on the right!

My eyes! My beautiful eyes!

I'd go boss eyed looking at that all day, Adam.

It looks like the flags of Europe tutned through 90 degrees and streched. I can see the colours of Ireland, France, Germany, Portugal... It also looks a bit like a psychedelic barcode.

I used to have Jessica Fletcher as my screensaver, but I've just changed her for the mad doctor from 'Green Wing'. Makes me laugh...
