I missed it too - so glad it is back, but sad all our discussion is gone! It's strange because it seems like the Wicked the Musical Forum is ok? I only took a quick peek though, but there are definitely more topics than here! Welcome Back Everyone!

All the other boards remained untouched but this one. It must've had something to do with the amount of content that was here.

Didn't the girl who said: "They're baaaaaaaack." and "They're heeeeeeeere," die on the set?

Or something like that - I know at least two people died.

We will just have to make new ones. I think an illegal trip to New York is just what the doctor would have ordered, had we asked him.

I missed everyone.
In case it happens again, my email is heykidd5@yahoo.com. Lets all keep in touch.

I think as a backup we should all get each others emails and make a list. Mine is doctor_smarty_pants_101@msn.com.

On a different topic I went to my lil sis cheer performance and their costumes seriously reminded me of Mean Girls. SlutiClaus alert.

I just got the funniest email.

My dear family & friends, Somewhat embarrassing to admit, I'm not getting an annual bonus and Christmas is tight this year. I will be making bedroom slippers for you all as gifts. Please let me know your sizes. You'll most likely agree that it's a splendid idea, and should you wish to do the same, I've included the instructions below: How to make bedroom slippers out of maxi pads: You need four maxi pads to make a pair. Two of them get laid out flat, for the foot part. The other two wrap around the toe area to form the top. Tape or glue each side of the top pieces to the bottom of the foot part. Decorate the tops with whatever you desire, silk flowers (this is most aesthetically appealing), etc. These slippers are: * Soft and Hygienic * Non-slip grip strips on the soles * Built in deodorant feature keeps feet smelling fresh * No more bending over to mop up spills * Disposable and biodegradable * Environmentally safe * Three convenient sizes: Regular, Light and Get out the Sand Bags.

Oh man, that song depresses the hell out of me. The line about wanting to be the father of her children can bring me to tears.

The depressing music is the exact reason why I don't listen to him. Why the hatred, though? Just curious.

The fact that he is one of the most popular singers, yet in my opinion he can't sing at all... He sings like he is a nine year old girl who's been smoking for too many years. The fact that there are truly great singers who aren't "popular" and then there is James Blunt, rap, and paris hilton who everyone adores. Also, most You're Beautiful is a nice song and all, but ends with him blowing the relationship by getting high. What kinda message is that?

Okay peoples, I need some info on book signings... What should I expect? I've never been to one before, and I'm going on Sunday to GM's signing in Concord MA, which is his hometown, but it's a rather small place, not really in a place that many people would know about.

How long are the lines typically? What time should I plan on getting there?

This is weird...

At the one I went to we got there about ten minutes before it started. GM read a passage from Wicked and a passage from ALAM, and then he talked about them for a while and then he just talked for a while. After that we got to ask questions, and at the end he signed books. I'd be surprised if it took more than an hour.

When I went I had a nosy round about 2 hours before and there was no one there, and then went back half an hour before and queued for 20 minutes or so. This was London, though, and no one's heard of him!

He is lovely and chatty and doesn't mind posing for pictures, and he will sign as many books as you like but not autograph books.

Obviously only extra special people get big drawings...

I did not, and I even tried emailing our contact to see if he knew anything, and he never responded.

And, you guys are going to be so disappointed in me, but I didn't go to the book signing. Turns out he was going to be doing some reading from A Lion Among Men, and I only just got my copy, so I didn't want any of it spoiled for me.

Also, the Patriots game got changed from 8:15pm last night, to 4pm yesterday... and it's probably pretty obvious where my priorities lay.

Im going to try and have a blast although the Christmas Spirit isnt really with me this year. I am looking forward to the presents but I cant say the same for meeting distant family. Im predicting awkward moments a-plenty. And all those pets under one roof cant be good! My plotting great-aunts are sure to have some scheme up their starched sleeves.

But dont worry about me! Ill be to busy reading to be bothered by it all (my family knows the best gift to give me is a book). Have a lovely holiday, my birds! Dont get arrested!

Ho ho ho and other rude things. The Christmas party is dead now and good riddance! Love the presents though. Im fuller than a balloon and as heavy as a Cow right now. And no, I dont eat Aniamals. Im trying to be very vegetarian right now. I got A Lion among men at last! Surprise surprise-and Im not an easy person to catch off guard. Now its just time to clean up. Im going to lock myself into my room for that part.

WHAT?! Oh that's awful! She was great! Scared the crap outta me as a kid but then again so did the Wicked Witch and look where I am now!

So I was going to get a claddagh for Christmas but the company my parents got it from screwed up and it isn't here yet even though my parents rush ordered it like 3 weeks ago! Grrr. I am feeling very sad because that was going to be the bulk of my Carli presents cuz it was a NICE one with a genuine ruby and white gold.

But we got a Wii and a nice keyboard as a family gift. Overall it was a great Christmas and I think it would have been perfect if my ring was here.

Merry Christmas all!

PS new comer. Sorry forgot your name. Idina Is My Idol? Is that right? Anyway. Welcome. Jump on in. And don't take anything personally here.
