Sorry about my spelling but sometimes my keyboard sticks....hence why my post looked like i was typing in slan

Galinda: ...Oh I know! lets tell each other something we've never told anyone...I'll go first: Fiyero and I are going to be married! (squeals)

Elphaba: Really? He's asked you already?

Galinda: No, he doesnt know yet.

Ok. I've tried and tried to understand the "goat on the lam" quote. I laugh everytime even though I don't get it.

I used to think it was "goat on the lamb" until I got a hold of the script. That actually made sense to me...maybe that's why I laugh? *contemplative chin rub*

But would anyone care to explain please?
*feels dumb for asking*

Elphaba: Yea, well, not everyone can travel by bubble!

Any others? I'm just curious... As that above one made me laugh!

The wizard: elphaba you love oz, and I love oz. See that one thing we have I commen. "Elphaba" yeah there's no place like home.

I love when Elphaba says, "There's no place like home." when she comes to see Nessarose.

This really is a bit OT for this, but I must say, that everytime I wear a pair of green pants, I keep thinking "Yep! Pink goes good with green!"

Or she might have meant the scene in emerald city: "Why, Elphaba, you're positivly emerald!"

Or something of that ilk.

well, i'm not saying you have to but if you want to you CAN see it on the internet http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5131166637947082642&q=Wicked+part+1 http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8700688166420178226&q=Wicked+part+2
==================================
This statement may be against the rules of the board, and I apologize if it is. ANYWAY, I am so furious that YouTube and Google, and the Equity Union took all of those great clips of the show off of the internet. I mean, just by seeing those didn't make me NOT want to see the show. Sorry if this comment is also OT.

In some shows the actors may ad lib a bit, and it does not matter how many times you have seen the show, we all know the script just as well as anyone else..I know you were not trying to be mean, and thank you for that, but sometimes the quotes are a bit different or ad libbed.

I love the quote in Popular:
Elphie-"My father hates me"
Glinda-"Oh, Elphie that's not a SECRET!!!"
This was in K. Chenoweth's last show and it was so funny!

i loved wicked... i saw it with Idina in London
i was in Bournemouth, england and i was watching rent with a commentary and c.c. said a lot of people complained that Idina didn't sing a lot and Anthony Rapp said u should see her in wicked! and i had only heard that it was a new musical... so i became obsessed with going and i went by myself to London and went into the theater not knowing what i was going to witness and omg it was the best thing ever and i agree with some of you it is better to see it without knowing anything!!! and not to brag but anyone who sees it now wont enjoy it as much as the people who saw ti before dec 30 or in new york cause Idina rocks!!!

Um, why is everyone freaking out over how "accurate" a line is? In a live performance, the lines probably change every night. Sometimes it's b/c an actor just forgets, or maybe he decides it's better with a word change. So one of you may have heard it one way, while another may have heard it another. Who cares? We're talking about one word differences! The lines are still funny and that's all that matters. Okay, I'm done with my rant now

Galinda on her entrance essay title:

"Magic wands-Need they have a point?"

and I just love the whole "Toss, toss" thing that runs through "Popular" and after when Elphie is praticing it before Dr. Dillamond's class.

I have admit, I didn't realise that there was anything to "get" with this until about an hour ago - The Wizard of Oz has just been on TV and since I'd never seen it I thought I'd watch it. When it got to the "lions and tigers and bears" bit I found it hilarious, mainly because I'd just been reading this topic!

(Didn't like the film, by the way. The munchkins creeped me out, I want to change my username. And all the way through I was relating it back to Wicked!)

It's a bit off topic, but I think (for most people) if you didn't see the WoO when you were younger, you might not like it if you watch it when you're older. One of my friends had just recently watched it for the first time, didn't like it, and thought it was boring. Maybe it's just me, but that's what I've thought.
