okay i know i'm a tad late on these subjects but there is supposed to be a movie in either 2010 or 2016 but i didn't know which one i was confused. anyway, rumor has it that the original broadway cast of wicked will be playing the roles of the people in the movie. and also, i heard you guys talking about a trap door being open or waiting for the cast in the lobby or something??? a few of my friends waited in the lobby outside the stage door and met helene yorke from the 2009 show of wicked. i just thought i would share that you can do that and they have pictures with her and stuff so, you should try that i was going to do it but i didn't get the chance

I think that Anne Hathaway would make a really good Elphaba. She sang during the opening of the Academy Awards, and her voice is really good. Plus shes the right age for Shiz Elphaba, but she could also pull off the second-act Elphaba. But if I could choose, I would definitely cast Idina and Kristin!!!!!

Not Zac Efron and Ashley Tisdale!! I have said this many times in this blog and I will say it again: the five main characters are in college! So, the actors that play them need to be college age or at least look college age. Idina is too old looking but Kristen could still pull it off cause she's so tiny. Natalie Portman is perfect for Nessa! Julia Roberts is a great actress but she's too young to play Morrible. Madame Morrible is an old lady. My choice for Morrible is Meryl Streep. After Kristen, my choice for Glinda is Aly Michalka. For Fiyero, Adam Lambert. For Elphaba, Kat Dennings or Zoey Dechannel. For Boq, Simon Curtis. I really really want Christopher Walken to be the wizard and Gary Oldman to be Dr. Dillamond. Gerard Butler for Frex and Anne Hathaway for Melena. For the younger version of the wizard in the prologue: Jamie Campbell Bower. Last but not least, Emile Hirsch as Chistery.

I would love to see a Wicked Movie, but for me personally, 'big names' for the main characters (Glinda and Elphie) would be awful...I think that Elpie should be played by Kerry Ellis, and Dianne Pilkington for G(a)linda- they played them in the London cast!!
however, i think that some more famous people for the supporting roles?
I think Maggie Smith for Morrible would be excellent, but can she sing?
And I think Orlando Bloom would make an excellent Fiyero!! Or someone like Daniel Radcliffe?
Stephen Fry the Wizard?
Reese Witherspoon Nessa?
Boq? Lee Mack anyone?

Whoever said in one of the above messages that Idina looks to old to play Elphaba is crazy. She's only like 38 and I think she looks great for her age. Kristin also looks great for her age as well. She can't say that the movie would be the same without the original cast. I think it wouldn't have the same feel and heart if other actors were to play their parts.

People keep saying that idina and kristin should reprise their roles, but that wouldn't work. They are getting too old. Kristin is 40! Yes they are great, but other people would also suit the roles.

Elphaba: Perhaps if Lea Michele from Spring Awakening were older... she has the voice (not the autotuned voice you hear on Glee) and she looks the part
Glinda: Amy Adams!
Nessarose: Anne Hathaway
Morrible: Helena Bonham Carter (yes i know she's a tad young. this is MY fantasy)More realistically is Bette Midler
Fiyero: Adam Lambert
Boq: Jonathan Taylor Thomas! Haha jk... Elijah Wood?
Wizard: Gerard Butler is too young, but he has the goodguy-badguy thing nailed. Makeup would fix the age dilemma.
